He was the husband of Hilda E. (Rinehart) Solito, to whom he was married for 27 years on September 11, 2009. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 48 Muddy Creek Forks Road, Brogue, with his pastor, the Rev. Randy Starr, officiating. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. The family requests those attending the viewing and service to please dress in casual Penn State attire to honor Kevin's life. Born June 30, 1955, in Allentown, a son of Barbarann (Miller) and husband, Gordon Pennington of Dover, and the late Angelo L. Solito, he was a 1973 graduate of Dover Area High School and was also a graduate of Penn State University. Kevin was a self employed website designer and had previously worked for Self Systems Engineering. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League and Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Kevin enjoyed shooting sports, bicycling, traveling to Myrtle Beach and the Great Smokey Mountains, and was an avid Penn State football fan. He could also be found spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mr. Solito is survived by a daughter, Bridgette L. and husband, James Golden of Red Lion; a son, Eric A. Solito of York; three grandchildren, Devon A. Zienkiewicz, Ian J. Golden, and Gianna Faye Solito; three sisters, Gwenn M. and husband, Kent James of York, Dina A. Solito and companion, Tracy Ingram of Harrisburg, and Lisa A. and husband, Matthew Pennington of Marietta; five stepbrothers, Greg Pennington of Oregon, Brian Pennington of Tennessee, Paul and Brooke Pennington of Michigan, and Matthew Pennington of Pennsylvania; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins. It makes me realize just how far along the tape measure of life I have traveled. My thoughts are with Kevin's Family in this time of sorrow.
