G-ManBart
I have a bunch of federal SPM and would be interested to see if I can use them in SC loads. When I couldn't get any Win SR or Fed SR for 38SC (Major) I was able to get Fed SPM, so I ordered 10K. I've run several thousand of them now and they're working well....so well I bought another 17K (all I could get). I'm going to try and post some pics of Fed SPM primers (and others if I can find them in my brass bucket) for comparison's sake. R, Bart, were these used with your N105 loads? If so, this powder is one that generally produces lower pressure, correct? As i just said above, I am currently using 7625, which most people say runs a slightly higher pressure. I may have to make a small test batch to give them a try. Steve Yes, most were with my N105 load, which probably is a bit lower in pressure than many others. In the past I've used Win SP, Win SR, and FSR with my old N350 load (lots faster than N105) and using that as a comparison, I'd say FSPM should be a decent substitute for most loads using FSR or WSR. They might be a touch softer/thinner, but probably not enough to matter. R,
