How much the gun moves in your hands as the bullet is travelling down the barrel has a huge effect on where that bullet impacts, primarily for elevation but also for windage, as well. I can stand there on the range and, at long distance, with the exact same POA, I can change POI for elevation at will simply by consciously changing how hard I'm gripping the gun, therefore how much it flips. If there was "only one place the gun could possibly hit, it's either sighted-in or it's not," then why would we have adjustable sighted guns? And even with the same gun, and the same shooter, switching to different ammunition, or wear-related changes to the gun over time, or changes by the shooter to their technique, can all cause POI to change. G34 with WTS rear sight. what front sight height to get a dead on POA at 15yds ?? .215,.225,.235,.245, I just got this rear/front combo on my G35 and shot it today. Nuts on at 15 yds off-hand.
