TwoShot
The Deadliest Catch has always been one of my favorite TV Shows. I just read where Captain Phil Harris of the ship Cornelia Marie passed away. RIP Captain Phil!

dcarter
This is very sad. This is one of the shows my wife and I watch together. I fell sorry for his sons.
Flatland Shooter
Phil's had health problems for a while but kept dodging the bullet. Very sorry to hear he's gone. As a fan of "Deadliest Catch", we will miss him. Bill

JimmyZip
Phil RIP. Was a show me and the wife would watch. Here too. She liked Phil and the way he would argue with his kids. Bummer about this. He and the show are missed.
bubbadoc
He worked hard and he played hard. Five packs of cigs a day for a man with a family history and personal issues with blood clots will catch up to you. RIP Phil. You are missed. Dan Hefta
I am a huge fan of the show, do you think that the boys will turn into men and run the ship? I don't think that they have the experience, but it would make good TV!

I don't think that they have the experience, but it would make good TV! Depends on the will.... I would think Murray Gamrath might step in to help, neither of the boy is ready ti captain. If not Murray, the are plenty of good Captains out of a job,

Did he actually own the Cornelia Marie? I know that the Hillstrands own the Time Bandit, and the Hansen's own the NorthWestern, but not sure about the remaining teams? I know some of the featured captains are "hired guns" for the actual ship owners.
TwoShot
I believe Captain Harris was a co-owner of the boat. On the show he once said the boat was named after his partner, Cornelia Marie XXXXXX.
JThompson
Philon what he did with his $130,000)"You want the honest answer? I bought a car, I bought a house, and I bought a couple of hookers."
