Supporting arm/hand when shooting weak hand only

My search came up empty.

In the IDPA Rule Book, there is the following definition:

Weak Hand Only: Denotation in a CoF that only the weak hand

can be used to control the gun. The strong hand must not touch the

gun except when clearing a malfunction.

Does that mean that, in IDPA, you can use your strong hand to hold or support the wrist of your weak hand when shooting weak hand only?

Simple answer is that if your Strong hand is "assisting" in stabilizing the weak hand/arm in any way it is a no no.

So if you grasped your wrist, in the spirit of the rules, it would be the same as if you shot freestyle with both hands on the gun. This is why most people recommend taking your "off hand" and placing it on your chest so that it is safe. out of the way and you can not be accused of "supporting" the shooting hand.
