  1. I would like to get some feedback from the shooters who use (or have tried) the combination of: 1) Sprinco's Red Penetrating MoS2 Grease (#892) on the 1911 locking lugs, sear nose/hammer hooks. 2) Machine Gunners lube on the rest of the pistol. And, what is the reason that these products are incompatable with other oils? MSDS Machine Gunners Lube for EU ISO 11014-1 PDF.pdf
  2. I bought my Super 1050 from Brian in August... Now it's June and I've loaded over 13,000 rounds of 9mm for my Production gun... Probably not a lot compared to some of you, but I followed the "I save more so I'll shoot more" plan... Normally I clean it before each reloading session and lube the zirc fitting (near the handle) after 4,000 rounds or so... I clean the main shaft and relube it with a bit of 30 weight motor oil at the same time... Dillon recommends a maintenance and lubrication plan scheduled every 10,000 rounds... So I am currently over 3,000 rounds beyond that... I've taken the top half of my 1050 (shell plate, primer magazine) apart and reassembled it without issue due to the excellent Dillon 1050 DVD for 1050's... I've never taken the bottom end apart... Is there a DVD or video that walks you through the S1050 maintenance and lubrication procedure? Do I need to take the entire press apart to lube the bottom end? Do most of the high end reloaders routinely perform this bottom end maintenance? My S1050 works great... I don't really want to mess around with it if it isn't really required, but if you all say it is necessary, I will do it... Thanks!
  3. I am wondering how many shooters out there lubricate their loaded cartridge cases? How many shooters carry lubricated ammunition in their duty gun or carry gun or match gun? Why is it done? Thanks Doug
