Hello, I have a versa max tactical that I have been useing for 3 gun for the last six months. I am using the load two method with the carbon arms backbone. My load times are pretty good but the lifter has got me a few times while practicing so it makes me a little uneasy during matches and I slow down. I finally got an extra lifter from remington and sent it to c-rum to have it welded. Just got it back last night and polished it up since it came bead blasted. I have been looking over all the threads on here and I am concerned that the welded lifter might cause some reliability problems and the gun as been flawless to date. Some of the threads say to bevel the extractor cut out in the barrel, is this needed and if so how much should it be beveled? I have already added a +1 cap and polished up the shell stop and broke the sharp edge on it. I also opened up the u notches slightly to help it load easier. Also some threads say to remove the second spring from the shell stop, but I don't see how this would help. Just looking for any advice to help insure the welded lifter dosent cause any reliability issues in the next match. Thank you.
