Can rimfire weapons be used in Super Steel Challenge? I've enjoyed several Steel Challenge matches with my Mark IV Lite, and want to move to next level with it and my 10/22. Will they knock down the plates/targets? (Using CCI Minimag) Thanks!
Local club has informal 50 yard .22 Benchrest shooting and I'd like to participate by purchasing either a Kidd or Clark Custom 10/22. I have a choice of a one or a two stage trigger. Having never shot a two stage, I am reluctant to order my gun with one. So my questions are: Which company should I purchase from and why? Which trigger should I purchase and why? Is the Leupold 40 power Competition Scope worth the extra money over a Weaver T36? Thanks for your help.
Hello, I would highly appreciate if you would share opinions for using a .22 lr revolver as training for PPC. I'm training alone, able to reach a shooting range once a week and shoot about 60 fires/ practice. Allready having a dry fire routine ( 3 - 4 times/week) I'm thinking more "trigger time" will be useful. I have a SW 686 used both in 25 m CFP and PPC Distinguished Revolver and found a SW 617 ( .22lr) for sell. Any suggestions are welcome.
I really wish I had started shooting revolvers sooner. I sold most of my guns when I went overseas for school and now that I'm back am rebuilding a collection of "basic" guns of which a .22 pistol is mandatory. Because everyone that I know has a Buckmark or a Mark II/III I decided that I would be different. I got a revolver, a class of gun I was heretofore utterly unexposed to. Searching for a suitable gun I came across this guy, a secondhand 617, and it is hands down the best handling .22 pistol I've ever shot. It is a laser on the range. Suffice to say, I appreciate revolvers now. I have seen the light. My next purchase is definitely going to be a 686.
