Okay folks this what we got going on with a 9mm PCC, The trigger is not resetting, pull it, one round comes out and trigger is dead. Even with 115 blazer. The next round does go in without any issue and the bolt goes completely forward. The build, Aero EPC lower, Taccom upper, taccom standard bolt, LeadStar 16” barrel, mil spec carbine buffer tube, hyperfire Elite trigger. Kynshot 5020SS, springco orange spring. What might be the cause of the trigger going dead? Is an A5 buffer tube required? New Trigger? Everything works fine when we try adjustable taccom buffer system.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a comp for a PCC that is at least 2.5” in length? I’m considering changing my barrel but the one I want is 13.5” length and when I hit my LGS none of them are 2.5”. Currently have a 16” barrel with 5.5” rifled. (Used in steel challenge).

Awesome, thank you for the reply. If you can do an update once you’re happy with your tinkering I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m starting to learn and understand this whole PF thing. I just shoot Steel Challenge so it really plays no role for me but knowing is knowledge.

Is anyone shooting factory ammo in their JP-5 and what are you shooting 115,124,147,150? How do you feel the felt recoil and muzzle rise is with factory ammo? I see so many videos where people say it’s like a .22 but of course there’s never any mention of the ammo being used.

So yesterday I competed with it in a 6 stage SC match using round nose 124, 115 factory ammo and it ran flawlessly. Not a single issue with it, well other than I’m not fast. Not a single FTF, FTE. My main concern was it being my first build I had missed something or I went to cheap on the lower. I did way to much reading in what parts I wanted to use and I chose Taccom upper due to the huge amount of great reviews, people I know using them so I do feel it’s a one off issue. But an issue I can easily overcome. No Tim I’m not sending it back to you it ran flawlessly yesterday.

Does anyone have an opinion Hipertouch Elite? That’s currently what I’m using in my build but thinking of going to the Eclipse if there’s a big difference.

I will have to try that. You’re the 3rd person to tell me to try that.

Sorry should’ve mentioned that they are factory Federal ammo. edit; I did contact to Tim, and he said I should try to polish it.

I come down to NC the first weekend of every month. I shoot at True North for steel challenge.

I do not, but of course I did see lot of posts with folks complaining about the aero epc9 and feed issues. However most of them are using a aero upper as well. I had been looking at a couple other lowers. QC10, Spikes Tactical, and Spartan.

Guess with it being my first build got a little freaked out that something might not be aligning correctly or worse bought something that doesn’t like another brand.

Hello all, I’m Rich from Virginia. I found this group of course after doing my first PCC build. Probably wouldn’t have spent so much time on Google if I had made an account and started reading here first.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Even a suggestion of sell the ammo is a consideration. For those using a Taccom upper do you have any issues with flat nose rounds? It’s like they over shoot the barrel hole and get wedged between the sure feed insert and the barrel. I constantly have FTF with 147g flat nose, the first round goes in no issues but then as I shoot I might get one or two good before a FTF. Sometimes I get FTF with syntech 150g/130g as well but no where near the same consistency. Never a single feed issue with round nose, reloads or factory 147,124,115. It happens with Glock factory mags and PMags. My build is a taccom signature upper w/ ULW super feed Barrel, standard bolt, adjustable recoil system on a aero epc9 lower.
