Calls Shots (8/11)

  1. The Mississippi Classic is back for 2025. Link below with more match details. If you have any questions feel free to give me a shout. https://practiscore.com/2025-mississippi-classic/register
  2. I’ve had great success with impact machine. I’ve sent several things to them to get milled or some other various type of machine work done. I’ve also heard great things about primary machine.
  3. Same here. Had two for almost 3 years now. Never an issue but folks I know that have had to get work done got it done quick and if anything was charged it wasn’t much all things considered.
  4. That would make more sense then. My friend talked to them back in March iirc when he was getting quotes on a build. I’m surprised and kinda sad they decided to do that. Rafferty and venom both made really nice open guns.
  5. Thats not the way I heard it from my friend who called both recently and got pricing. They’re prioritizing the LO builds but still make open guns when their books are open if someone wants one.
  6. I’d get another 2 or 3 limcats to go with the two I have now.
  7. Mighty armory universal decapping die.
  8. I’ve seen slides crack on these within 10-15k rounds on a few different ones. They’re not worth the money imo. Get an MPA if you want a cheap open gun.
  9. Bend the coil (spring) that’s closest to the follower up slightly to allow the bullets to hit the top 1/3 of the feed ramp. Just a slight bend upwards should do the trick.
  10. The most important thing out of an open gun company is warranty and customer service. It’s not an if it goes down it’s a when. And when it does happen you want a company that will take care of you. Witt that said Johnny and Julian at Limcat custom are hard to beat when it comes to warranty and customer service. a buddy of mine cracked a slide on a very old limcat open gun that he bought second hand. They put a new comp and slide on it in a weeks time and got it back to him for a very reasonable price. This is what you want in an open gun company. I’ve also heard great things about venom custom when it comes to standing behind their work and timely repairs.
  11. If I recall correctly he says a delta is just a lucky Mike lol. I’ve been looking forward for him to come and shoot a uspsa national match for quite some time. My predictions are spot on coming into day two. I’m very curious to see how it will pan out come tomorrow.
  12. That’s one thing grauffel is known for and speaks about in his classes. You don’t have to win every stage. You just have to stay in that 90-95 percentile range for most stages. The dude is a HF mathematician. He definitely knows his way around a major match.
  13. It would be nice to see a camera crew with the super squads going stage to stage and have someone running commentary. Why the org hasn’t tried to implement something like this yet surprises me.
  14. I use Berrys for all my minor PF stuff. Extremely consistent on weight and diameter. Not a bad price either and they shoot clean. I run their 115s but I prefer a lil snappier recoil and faster slide. Grab whatever you typically run weight and bullet profile wise from them
