  1. I've used factory ammo for a while now and once I tuned the gun to ignite I haven't had a single issue with any federal brand ammo.
  2. I use ISMI 13# in my glocks with zev stainless guide rods, i dont know how many thousands of rounds I have with that setup but they work 100% with every 9mm round ive tried
  3. A little late posting this but its an at-home ICORE regional, if you want the matchbook or MD contact: https://icore.org/events_2023.php
  4. I have used speed-e-racks for a number of years and find them to be perfect for me, I also direct attach them to my belt, I find the tek-lok style to be too far out: http://www.speed-e-rack.com/ I have used TK 929 OEM moonclips for a while as well and have worked with every type of ammo I have tried: https://tkcustom.com/products/swn929x8-9mm-035-blue
  5. Just checked, and it ran, thanks, guess its Thursdays now
  6. Classifiers were added with activity fees paid, all added classifiers show 'P' pending from this last weekend (9/24 & 9/25) on Monday and still today
  7. I noticed on mine, and checked two other shooters at two different clubs, that the classification system didn't update today, did anyone else notice this? I left a message at USPSA but he hasn't gotten back to me
  8. Sorry, mistype, I am NOW at 100%, post fixed
  9. with the following I am now at 100% ignition/failure free with factory federal/American eagle & reloaded ammo over the last ~1000 rounds and 5 matches: shimmed trigger & hammer, this seemingly has done more than anything else to fix the issue cleaned up internal parts a bit more for any potential drag: plate channels, rebound slide, transfer bar (because why not at that point) and FP hole still using factory mainspring
  10. got it thanks, and as stated before, I do not use lightened springs, the mainspring is factory
  11. I have had this issue with both kinds, factory and reloads. I am getting closer to full reliability though with some of the suggestions already given
  12. im going to try a small shim just to make sure, and im onboard with thinking it could just be bad ammo, but the amount of failure to fires doesn't add up to me when this ammo does fire in other guns
  13. I would rather learn the issue and fix it myself making myself more knowledgeable in the long run I am the same way and looking at each thing one at a time, I have fired about 100rds so far issue free with some of the suggestions here so far but im going to keeping looking and probably try a minor shim as well, I dont have any odd/noticeable wear other than what I have shown earlier. factory and reloads the silver primers shown are federal handloaded, the gold are factory Aguila
  14. awesome thanks I will check that out I haven't checked side to side play but did not see any obvious wear marks on the hammer besides the above mentioned, what material did you use to shim? brass?
  15. Inspecting and cleaning up some parts and now I see part of the hammer (apex) has a little lopsided wear on it from the rear of the trigger
  16. I thought it might be primer seating, but with the very inconsistent issue, on multiple primers and they do not ignite on attempts afterwards but did with a glock. I am going to take it apart tonight and check for any where/friction on the internals tonight.
  17. Odd unhelpful comment thanks for the contribution @mchapman. If you actually read GMM50's comment it doesn't actually say where he states they are in stock.
  18. thanks @GMM50ill check the hammer components and yes I compete with it which is the main reason for me really caring about it being at 100%. Where is a solid moonclip checker in stock? I dont really want to try revovlersupply again after the last issue. And for those asking, I did take a glock out with me and got them to fire on the second go around
  19. The revolver came with dual trigger stops, one in the rebound slide and one on the trigger shoe itself, I removed the one in the rebound slide and now notice that the one on the trigger shoe is galling the rear of the trigger guard so I am going to take a few swipes at it with a file. There is no contact on the rebound slide and hammer and release/firing position. I am going to clean out the FP channel, didn't think of that and then head off to the range in a few. I haven't thought to check/mark moonclips to see if they are not perfectly flat, I going to do that and see if there are some problem ones. I tried to order a cylinder checker from revovlersupply but the order sat unfulfilled for 3 weeks before I had to do a chargeback and get it canceled, he wouldn't return my emails.
  20. I am using a 929 with an apex extended FP, TK clips and factory mainspring, I am getting random light strikes/fail to fires, about 3% of rounds fired by my math, and I cannot figure out why and am looking for anything anyone may be able to think of in regards to this. I have tried multiple kinds of ammo, primers and spring tension. Zero issues on loading/unloading the cylinder and my 929 has been extremely accurate as well. In the picture the top rounds are failures and the bottom are fired casings from moonclips they came off of.
  21. Am I missing something in the appendix here for SS? "Special conditions: Only 1911 production type pistols."
  22. Ive used the g10 piranha grips for a long time, took the finger grooves off and part of the left side grip to not interfere with reloads. Great balance for me between aggressive and not tearing apart my hands. https://www.hogueinc.com/grips/grips-for-smith-wesson/n-frame-revolvers/roundbutt/conversion/s-w-n-frame-round-butt-conversion-finger-grooves-piranha-grip-g10-solid-black
  23. I've shot quiet a few Korths and I will tell you they are nice, very nice, but nothing that special. The people that I know that have them more fall into the, it costs more so it must me exponentially better crowd. I would never buy one, but if you gave me one I wouldn't sell it.
  24. I doubt I will ever win a match as revo, but I've never been last at a match either. I have had some people visibly mad they lost to a revo so its worth it in the end
