You mentioned in another thread using 147gn 139pf ammo right? I think that’s gonna be alright for bowling pins. The people downplaying 9 probably are thinking 115gn ball ammo

For AK I hose it down with Ballistol. For everything else, I use breakthrough clean solvent and oil

How about Federal syntech 150gn? It’s on the “approved” list so you will never fear the chrono

Is Mrs ColoradoNick into shooting also? If you get her to participate you likely will get the greenlight to bolt a press to the dining room table and stack components as deep as you want, but then your consumption rate will at least double. Lol

I think this answer is determined by your wallet and how much you want to keep playing if the prices spike again. I asked this question to the friends I usually squad with and answers range to “at least 10k” to “I don’t remember because I haven’t done inventory in several years”

I’ve been using p320 x5 with txg grip, grey guns trigger kit and romeo3xl for the last year or so and have been happy with it. very reliable and can light srp if needed

I chrono’d some Blazer and Remington 115gn factory ammo out of my GF’s 929 for fun, and found the blazer was 126pf (avg 1096fps and stdev 17) and REM was 123pf (avg 1067fps and stdev 23) so both would have resulted in shooting for no score. also chrono’d some supervel 115gn factory reloads out of my stock g34gen3 and it was 139pf (1212fps avg, 30stdev) and it’s easier and more fun for me to shoot 147gn 130pf ammo. anyway, all that to say, I don’t mind taking an extra 10min out of my day to crank out 100rd of 9 minor on my 750
