Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. They have tried some canted shooting with the 36 yard zero. POI definitely shifts when axis of the bore changes, but it'a still combat effective 5- 7" circle up to a certain distance without even think about holdover. Check it out: https://www.badassoptic.com/canted-scope-accuracy/
  2. Besides the obvious MOA sizes, the 6 MOA is much better for shooters with astigmatism under daylight. Bright daylight will wash away the emitter red dot starburst, even if the brightness is dialed up all the way, and leave the user with a round center dot. The reason is that the emitter starburst doesn't cover up the circle dot when you crank up the brightness, so the round dot appears much more visible than a 3 MOA or smaller dot. It's easier for the eyes to see and great for most pistol applications. It kinda make sense, and I haven't seen it explained this way. You can read about it here: https://www.badassoptic.com/3-moa-vs-6-moa-reticle-comparison/
  3. The Holosun 509T has a slightl glass magnification at 1X. Some people may like it and some may not. If you compare 509T vs 507C, the 509T is a bitch to mount if you don't want to spend more money modifying the slide or buy an adapter plate. The 507C just goes straight in with the RMR footprint. In addition, the ACSS vulcan reticle is available for Holosun 507C to help recenter the reticle better if you're not used to acquire/ reacquiring the sight.
