Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Cool movie, even cooler soundtrack. Tough movie to stop thinking about. Definitely not your run of the mill, brain dead, over the top explosions and ridiculous car chases, a million bullets fired (but no one actually gets killed) Hollywood action flick. Deserves its 'R' rating though. Mick
  2. If you like Samurai movies, like I do, '13 Assassins' is one of the best I've seen. 13 Samurai make a last stand against the evil brother of the Shogun and 200 of his Samurai bodyguards. It's in subtitles and I had to catch it at an arthouse cinema but it was worth the effort.
  3. Here's a link I was sent with some pics and info on the consultants involved with 'The Town' movie. Hope it works! http://www.wickedlocal.com/marshfield/features/x1129171299/Marshfield-cops-have-roles-in-The-Town?photo=0 Mick
  4. I did some training when I was in the U.S last year and my instructor was attached to Boston S.W.A.T He was hired as a consultant and subsequently got a small role in the movie. He sent me some pics from the set, all kitted up sitting next to Affleck. They invited him to the red carpet premiere at Fenway Park last week. I look forward to seeing it. Mick
  5. Yeah it was the colour scheme that hooked me in the first place. I used to ride past the bike dealer and stare at it on the showroom floor through the window all the time. I used to joke to the salesmen that it was my bike and I was gonna buy it one day and they would always laugh at me. About a year later I took my 'blade in to get something fixed and I ended up riding home with the SP2. I had no idea but my wife had bought the bike about ten months earlier and was slowly paying it off. It seems the entire world new about it except me! It 'was mine' all along. I hope you find those pics I'd like to see them! R1's are nice. Mick
  6. Finally got my bike back after having crashed it almost 9 months ago! The insurance company 'wrote' it off and it had to go to auction where I got in a bidding war to buy it back. A Honda dealer has been rebuilding it for me and finally it's at a stage where I could go take it over the 'pits' to get it licensed again. There's a few things to do as we're 'still' waiting on some parts to arrive. It's been so long since I've ridden it, that I forgot what a beast it is! Luv it! Mick
  7. That's so cool! Mine is my Glock 20. Just love the power. Mick
  8. Get a Doberman! I'm onto my third one and highly recommend them. They are very security conscious and 'know' when to be mean and when not to. Great with kids also. Mick

  10. Had some down time last weekend while doing some work here in Springfield Mass and drove out to Manville Rhode Island and shot a USPSA match and would like to thank Mike Walsh for lending me his M&P and giving me a bag of ammo! Thanks mate. ALso got to shoot an IDPA match (which is banned here in Australia) in Springfield and the same deal, a guy called Dave just gave me his Glock and let me shoot the match. Thanks heaps guys and hopefully i can repay the favour if anyone is visiting Down Under. Mick B
  11. Hi Mike I'm back in Springfield doing some more training and noticed there is a match on this Sunday at Manville RI. If I can make it out to come watch, will you be there? If not can u give me a name of somebody that might be. Thanks for your help. Mick B I will be there. I build one of the stages for the match. But I may have leave early. You want to shoot while you're there? We can get you set up That would be awesome Mike. I've sent u a PM. Mick B

  13. I don't know the guy from a bar of 'soap' and he doesn't seem to post a lot, but I always enjoy reading what he has to say. So I'm voting for 'Vulture'. Mick
  14. Hi Ken I've just organised to have it taken to a Honda dealer for repairs. My concern is availability of parts, as there's not a lot of SP2's around. I'll chase up 'Gazza' if i encounter any problems. Thanks for the lead! Mick
  15. Ouch! How did you make out? No broken bones! Luckily I landed on my head after I did an impersonation of a rag doll being thrown in the air. After a small stint in the emergency room I'm now bed ridden for a while with massive bruising just above my hip. It took the full impact on the rail! Could've been a lot worse. Wont be shooting for a couple of weeks tho!
