Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks, I didn't call them, I can't on the weekdays and didn't try the weekend. They don't have an email address on their site either. It looks like it's R23 (if I remember right). I adjusted it and it works to my liking. If the unit is facing you, the arrow (on the resistor) is pointing to the left where I like it (270 degrees).
  2. My timer is new. It will pick up other handguns shooting 20 yards away outdoors (and possibly more). I read here about the adjustment and just want to confirm that it is inside on the main control board near the center. Its a small variable resistor right? It's pretty much the only thing that looks like it can be adjusted? I don't want to go ruining this thing and finding out shortly after my 30 day return window.
  3. I have a few auto reset poppers from LE Targets. I have an old style one and two new style ones. They are all good, but the new style is better. It rotates smoother, doesn't come painted (at least the target itself), and the bolts are improved. It will take them probably a month to ship it to you, but the end product is solid. I've hit the older one with alot (which is the 250 brinell, my new ones are the 500 mentioned above), and the thing doesn't really have a dent on it. (only normal handgun loads though, nothing from my 270 )
  4. That did it (so simple!). I installed the powdermeasure straight and never looked back. Thank you all for you help, much easier than calling and trying to explain I don't have the power measure angle correct. The lock link touching the bottom of the powermeasure near the bar is normal then, at least it seems like it to do a proper throw. It does make the bottom side of it a little shiny, even after my first 20 check rounds and adjusting all of the dies.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like pictures are needed, so I took some. They may take a second to load up. The bottom one is with the lever in the down position.
  6. I recently purchased a Dillon XL650, it's great! After doing single stage reloading for a while, I realized I really needed a progressive machine and I made the plunge. It arrived and I put it together one night, everything went together fine. I am impressed with the quality of all of the parts. The one thing I am not sure of though, is the powder measure failsafe rod. It seems to bend at what I think is an odd angle (it is not actually bending, but it does have a good amount of tension on it and it is at on odd angle that points out and away from the reloader). Sometimes the shoulder washer (the white piece of plastic) comes out of the failsafe return bracket. Because of that, sometimes the rod will touch the return bracket with the threads, though it is tightened up correctly. Failsafe Rod In addition to this, something that may be a clue as to why it could be odd to me. The top part of the lock link (shown in the picture below, the finger is touching it) is actually rubbing against the powdermeasure, causing a small shiny mark underneath the edge. This happens when the crank is pulled and there is full travel in the links. Everything is working, I adjusted it to throw the powder and it is very accurate. My question really is, is this normal? Here is dillons help site listing for what I am having problems with. It may help with some terminology. http://www.dillonhelp.com/xl650english2/pg22.htm I can take some pictures if needed.
