  1. Welcome.and thank you very much for your service to our great nation.
  2. As a first time pistol reloader like me I'll agree it is alot of info to gather up.Ya got OAL,head space, need jump time before bullet hit the rifleing etc.I was all over the net writeing this down, that down, printing stuff I found. Then it dawned on me that was all for nothing.Like lots have said here all guns are machined different. So I checked my sig and beretta for max COL with the sliding bullet, 124 grn.speer tmj, and the beretta came out at 1.300 and the sig was 1.228. I checked each gun 10 times to make sure. There is no way i could load a round that long as it would almost fall out of the case before it would hit the riflings. next i checked head space, beretta was .751 sig was .760.Next i slugged the beretta barrel .347 on the lands and .355 in the grooves. The guns told me their limits.Haven't checked the sig yet. Most of the info went in wood stove.I saved info on the bullets i bought, speer, berry's and precision bullets and thats what i am going to use.

    Feed ramp on Sig m11-a1

Took the sig to the range today, shot Tula 115gr. steel case and some ZQI 123 gr. nato. The Tula COL was between 1.148 and 1.162. No FTF and no slow feeds at all.Was a joy to shoot. I bought a new made in Italy Beretta 92fs,it's as smooth as glass just got to get used to the trigger. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

    Feed ramp on Sig m11-a1

Well I called sig 1 more time being they wouldn't answer my emails. The customer person I talked 2 said,in her records, there was no FTF problems when they tested the gun, also said they most likely never took it apart and checked the barrel.Just shot it put it in a box and shipped it back to me.So now per them it's not a functional problem but a cosmetic problem, lol ,ship it back to them on my dime and they will look at it. so fss.... i went and bought 600,1000,1500 wet or dry. ,used a 9mm case to wrap paper around like pjb45 said.she's slick n shiney now, just took enough off to make it slick.

    Feed ramp on Sig m11-a1

I called sig last week twice. The first I talked to said to email her the pics of the slide and I did. They also knew that the gun had just come back from sig and the gun they said was fine.In the email I sent I asked to email me back to make sure the pictures were ok.Only email I got back was I can send it in if I want to.I'm just trying to figure out what they are going to do.Do I get a new barrel or just live with what I have. You never get to talk to the gunsmiths there.I showed the pics to a friend of mine whos son is in the military. He said Sig quality control should of never let that go but being it was going to the public they really dont care.Hate to complain but 800 bucks is alot of money for me.

    Feed ramp on Sig m11-a1

Bought this Sig new in 2014.Had trouble with it with certain kinds of ammo.I called sig and they said ramp needs to be polished.I told him i was going to use some flitz to remove the blueing because it was very rough under the blueing and was not going to change the profile on the ramp.He said becareful. So after the blueing removal this is what I found. It still had FTF.also he said to try some different ammo.It doesn't FTF all the time but you never know when it will happen. So i parked it for years.I started shooting it last summer with same problem.I called sig they said send it back and they would fix it free.i sent it back with 3 clips to try and they sent it back saying they shot it 60 times and could not duplicate my problem.I showed it to afew gun smiths and some local shooters at the range and all said it was't right. The dark spot on left side it where i left cabon in the pits so you can see it. Also the ramp doesn;t look centered with the barrel and 1 side of ramp is thicker than the other.800 dollar gun i'm really dissapointed.what do ya'll think? thanks for looking
  8. Thanks for the welcome and the tips.
  9. I shoot rifle and pistol at local club. I'm new at reloading for pistols,9mm, and I bought a new dillon 550c.For rifles I use the lee Target master for many, many years, kinda slow but accurate and simple. l'm retired so have plenty of time. With the Dillon I'm having problems keeping a consistent COL.So search the dillon topics..i'm on it.lol Thanks,Ronnie
