Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. This is my first post and I hope I do it correctly. I have been reloading since the mid 60s with a single throw ribs without any issue at all except it was and is time consuming. I bought a Dillion 550b new set up for 40 cal ( which I love) about 6 months ago that a gun store owner had hidden on the back shelf and forgotten about. I only load 40 and 9mm. I am in a league and shoot 600 rounds a week so was really excited to start progressive reloading. Right out of the box I had a problem where the plastic plug that holds the space in the powder measure would shear off dumping powder all over the reloading bench and also the case that was being belled and having powder inserted in would be ruined with an extreme bell. This happened 3-4 times with the b. Called Dillion each time and they had me polish the powder measure bar, or put a little oil on it. Dillion sent me new parts. plugs. powder measure bars new powder measure but the problem still persisted. Finally sent the reloader back to Dillion and they sent me back a 550c. I was very excited think my problems were solved but the same thing happened again. I am gentle with the reloader and try to watch every moving part but when I get in a rhythm thinking all is well then the plug sheers. I just can't see what I am doing wrong or how the reloader is set up incorrectly. The 550c came 90% assembled from dillion. Do I need to get more aggressive with the polishing, is the fail safe arm at too odd of an angle. Did some how contamination get into my powder. Any help with be appreciated
