  1. Good quality factory ammo - bench rest it to try to eliminate the operator error. Should be a great shooter - havent heard of any problems with them regarding accuracy
  2. Ive got Wilsons and Chips for my Kimbers and both work flawless - 7 or 8's
  3. If its dropped, its stripped and reloaded. The spring compress flipping rounds thing - oh yeah - good times and makes you look like an idiot trying to explain you didnt load it backwards
  4. Caspians grip is smaller, weighs more (limited not a bad thing) but honestly after trying to load a mag its night and day from a S I unless you let Lim cut it for you. There are a couple Caspain Hi Cap frames on GB last time I looked
  5. Welcome to the BE world. Time for second job, perhaps even a third - Im sure there is a thread somewhere that helps justify all the expense to those who just quite understand it all.........
  6. Not a good idea in my experience. I think the same old guy told me that years ago and I got out the file. End result - after missing everything as result I bought new sights. Thanks Gramps
  7. 3 dot sight flat SUCK. Of course I like FO's quite a bit and I guess that qualifies as 3 dots, just colored The only thing worse it tritium 3 dot. Picked up a Kimber and of amazingly the dot front and bar rear seems to be workable.
  8. That's the most likely reason. As for breaking the habit, its draw check grip, repeat - Ive been told at least 500 repetitions are necessary to change anything so get busy
  9. Cool - good to know it wasn't me - kept looking at setting and such but couldn't find anything - gracias
  10. Honestly Im amazed with this show. Before this none of us would have ever sat and watched an episode of Big Brother or any of the "reality" crap shows. Not long ago I walked in the living room and immediately asked "are you seriously watching that?" seeing some version of reality crap. Now nationwide guys like us are spending hours discussing, commenting and generally getting all caught up in the gross inter-dynamics of who said what, who's being mean to who and the like. Ive come off the couch laughing or blasting off more than once. DVR is great as I can roll it back and make sure I heard what he said what I thought he said. I've had to explain to more folks than I care to that its "about the shooting" - nah its about more than that. It's a conspiracy if you ask me. Heaven help us all. I see this as a brilliant scheme devised by the "evil powers that be" to lower our man card ratings, hook us into their fluff world, and if the diabolical plan comes to pass, fracture the very being of those of us who venture out with colorful shirts and shiny guns. Resist I say - resist! But alas, resistance is futile - The DVR is set, I have cleared my calendar and I await the next episode.
  11. Not necessarily. I know of several online retailers who sell new and used items at price points well below. The general thought is that your local shop is paying rent with his items and has a limited market. Folks that sell on the internet and such are forced to have (often) lower prices based on a far larger market and folks like Bud's who sometimes have items with a delivered price well over 100 less than shop like mine can even buy them - volume I guess. To illustrate - a M&P15T went to a Kali citizen for $310 less than available in "country" so even with taxes applied (the dealer there has you sign a statement that you are responsible for taking care of the tax) it still came out considerably less. Like everything that costs, creative shopping rules
  12. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=108532 This is a good example - may be the size they attached it at but if there is a setting on my end it would make it oh so much more easy to view........
  13. Also have a Quinn II on with popple holes and haven't had any residue other what a quick wipe wouldn't easily remove.
  14. Well I for one have the DVR warmed up for tonight's episode of "Whats Brad Going To Say Next" - could be fun.......
  15. The Chiappa is actually quite a good little gun. Fixed barrel so the accuracy factor is consistent. Early models had a crappy trigger but as mentioned earlier the new model are coming in with far better triggers. All in all not a bad gun if your not going to buy a conversion top for your existing 19/2011.
  16. Looks like WA is taking a page out of the Kali rulebooks - bummer...
  17. I ship quite a few shooters into Kalifornia (to FFL's of course) and from what I understand most are charging the guy who picks it up sales tax. Really kinda screws up the whole point of internet sales. Of course if the invoice says you paid $200 for a $500 item, I guess you just got a h**l of a deal and the tax isnt that big of a deal. I so love the rules in Kali
  18. Stupid question perhaps but when I open a photo say in the Classifieds it is ginormous (huge). Is there a setting somewhere that tames this down?
  19. Took a bit of faith and practice but the Ghost works well with a Glunk 35. Faith and practice as it seems all too un secure in the beginning but thats the learning curve......
  20. I carry a Clock because I know for fact that it will go off everytime I flip the switch. However I have an STI based Limited and Open gun and would rather have all platforms the same. I want double stack due to round count and the way it fits my hand. So now its up to asking questions since the chances of laying hands on both at the same time are slim and none even with my own FFL.......
