Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I ordered four AMG Timers for my Club in January and they charged my CC. By June I still did not have them and asked for a status with no response. I had my Credit Card Company get my money back. I could no longer take a chance with my Clubs money or getting stuck myself. They may be the best Timer out there. But there is no Company information ,no address, no phone number. I understand this is a one man shop. But if the owner gets hit by a bus there is no recourse. Hopefully another company will step up with a reliable Practiscore Timer.
  2. I just built a new 10/22. Kidd ultra lightweight barrel, Kidd trigger, C-More 16 Moa, Alchin, and Magpul stock.
  3. Nice lady who has run some other pro-gun articles previously. The reporter went out to Colorado and interviewed the guys out there during a match. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203513204576047843270055436.html?mod=WSJ_hpp_RIGHTTopCarousel_1#articleTabs%3Darticle
  4. Our Wall/doorway. Looks heavy but two guys can move it around. 2x4 frame with 3/8 plywood walls secured by 2x2's.
  5. Pictures from the Event: http://tynerphotography.ifp3.com/2/1e2c469...t-shooters-224/
  6. Just a little historical note. May 23rd is the 75th Anniversary of the Death of Bonnie & Clyde.
  7. Weren't Bonnie and Clyde well know for using a Browning semi shotgun? Yes A5's They also used a Browning BAR but not many people have those. Like I said its a rough start. If you want to use A5's and the club allows it. By all means.
  8. How about this as just a rough start: St Valentines day class: 1911 pistol, 1927 Thompson, Pump shotgun. Boogie class: Pencil barrel revolver, 1927 Thompson, Pump Shotgun. Bonnie & Clyde Class: 1911 Pistol, Other period semi auto rifle or lever action, Pump Shotgun. Untouchable class: Pencil Barrel revolver, Other period semi auto rifle or lever action, Pump Shotgun. Snubble Side Match: Any snub nose revolver or .32 or .380 Semi auto shoots the pistol targets after the main match. I think the big stumbling block is the Thompson. Not many people have them and even if you wanted to invest the $1000.00 or so they are in short supply. So alternate rifles are a must to get people initially involved. And then they may get a Thompson.
  9. A couple of us SASS shooters have been tossing this idea around. Thinking a semi-auto class (1911's) and a revolver class (pencil barreled revolvers). Then include a pump shotgun Winchester 97's or model 12's or whatever. What had us stumped was the rifle. Not many have a Thompson. Guns like Winchester 1905's and 1907's were around but used some odd calibers. Remington model 8's were in that time period. Then having a subbie side match.
  10. My sorrow knows no bounds. Gone from us too soon.
  11. Try Better Bullets: http://www.betterbullets.com/documents/KSS_Pricing.pdf
  12. Update: I replaced the spring with a ISMI spring for the Para. Brownell's # 445-125-100. Seems better. Slide is now locking open after last round and its easier to release the mag. Fired 50 rounds thru that mag with no problems.
  13. Thanks, I'll give it a try with the rubber mallet. If that doesn't work I may bring out the sledge next to put it out of its misery. LOL
  14. Looking to replace the springs in my Mec Gar High Cap magazines for my p18-9. Need something stronger than the stock ones. And possibly replace the follower. Need something to try and keep the slide open after last shot. Any ideas?
  15. I've got the same problem with my P18 anyone know of a solution? I've tried a couple of Mec-Gar Hi Caps. They feed fine but; 1.) Don't keep the slide open after the last shot 2.) They are extremely difficult to release after the last shot. I really have to almost pound on the slide release.
