  1. Thanks for the answers guys. I emailed SLR as well and their CS stated the clamp on would fit under the NSR. Mac...do you have any pictures handy that show clearance? Thanks Nick
  2. Hello Does anyone know if the Sentry 7 set screw or clamp on GB will fit under a Noveske NSR rail. Did my due diligence searching but no luck. Thanks Nick
  3. I've got one. great glass. very light. my only complaint is the sub tensions are a bit "loose" for the long shots. The customer service in NA and Austria is top notch... Nick
  4. Where are you seeing Marauders for 1799? Thanks
  5. Id clean the barrel then try a different ammo. If its not ammo related then something is wrong with the gun and you should send it back to S&W. The newer 9mm barrels work fine and theres really no need for an aftermarket barrel. Nick
  6. The striker block must be installed before the rear sight. There is no other way to do it on a M&P because the rear sight retains the striker block and spring from the top. If you have the sight fit correctly you should be fine. If the rear sight (and front sight) are centered you should have plenty of windage adjustment on the rear. Loctite when you install the sight. Not too much because you don't want it to get in the striker block channel. Good luck.
  7. Did you try adjusting the retention screw on top? The Pro and L have slightly different contours on slide.
  8. As I stated above it will work out fine if you trim it down so the hood clears the rear sight. If you are using a higher front (.285-.305) you may need to take the holster apart and open up the channel for the front sight internally so it doesn't drag. Holster Ops sells a version that is already trimmed down that I linked above for future reference. Safariland is bit clueless and just reads off a cue card and says it will fit. I went round and round with them a while ago and didn't get anywhere until a higher up got involved who then went way above and beyond to get me squared away. Good luck.
  9. The 7TS holsters I referenced above both work without the thumb safety.
  10. I use this from Safariland. http://www.holsterops.com/7ts-qls19 If you are using Dawson Adjustables or other higher profile sights you might want to consider the model that Holster Ops Cuts down in house. Otherwise you can trim the non cutdown version with a dremel. http://www.holsterops.com/cutdown-7ts-paddle I own and have used both. They work great and the price is right. ALS retention. Very secure. Good luck.
  11. so 5 more matches....each with two groups....shooting the same stages as group 1 and 2 shot. Am I getting that right? thanks
  12. Is there any explanation of the new format posted online? Are there other Pro matches this year or is this it? Thanks.
  13. Hit up Steve Rose on the forum. I think he does it. He did a great job on my M1 stock.
  14. Just curious...what height front are you using? Im using a .285 on my 5" gun and wish I had a shorter front. My rear seems to sit really high in the slide when zeroed with every thing from 115s to 147s.
  15. Most gunsmiths should be able to do it. Steve Rose from Rose Action Sports did mine. First rate all the way. you just need to make sure you let them know the thread size/pitch for whatever release you are going to install. The Redneck Tactical Release Tab is another option that does not require drill/tap. Good luck.
  16. North Korea did us all a favor. I think it sucked.
  17. I think the FO fiber on the Pro is too big. I think the sights are otherwise fine. You could just replace the front with a .100 width sight and see how you like that. Otherwise the Warrens (or Sevignys) are great. For adjustables the Dawson Adj Rear and .100 front are my choice. Good luck
  18. Have you reached out to TTI? Im sure he will get you squared away.
  19. do you have access to a 5" to see if it will fit?
  20. As I said. Contact S&W and have it replaced under warranty for free. Most likely you will need to send the gun to them They will send you an overnight mailing label so it wont cost you. No reason to pay for it. You just need to articulate that the accuracy is unacceptable. I have no idea if they actually test fire them to verify. In my case the accuracy past 15 yes was not acceptable. The new barrel has been excellent in terms of reliability and accuracy.
  21. The newest version from Smith and Wesson in my opinion. It offers the best balance of cost, accuracy and reliability. If you have an old version send it back for replacement under warranty. YMMV.
  22. Dawson Adjustables or Sevigny Fixed rears FO front sight. In my opinion the fiber is too big on the factory sight. Dawson or Talon grip tape or buy a wood burning kit and stipple your grip yourself. Have fun. Nick
  23. Is this going to be a monthly match? Do you plan on running it year round? Thanks Nick
