Here is an extra picture with the GX Products holster fit. GX tested it and approved both parts to work perfectly.

    OFFSET Mag Release

True, good point as the Legion's frame is heavier and was an oversight to not test with the TXG grip, as the one previously on hand was returned for being out of spec. Regular polymer grip modules with the grip weight installed is as heavy as was tested without shifting the balance. A heavy magwell and naturally an optic also preclude the grip from being raised. If anyone has a Legion with (non-suppressor height) iron sights, please chime in if the balance still shifts the grip into the air as it would be appreciated.

The largest seen that had issues was unable to operate a TLR-1 weapons mounted light on their pistol without completely changing their grip. Their thumb went forward way past the controls. If you can sweep your thumb down and hit the controls on a weapons light, you'll be good to go. Not sure if they were running a properly sized grip module, like getting the large in that case.

Happy to report after a swift boot kick from GrumpyOne, that I'm graciously unbound to disclose my affiliation with Align Tactical without reprisal as your go-to local Subject Matter Expert. As was readily displayed, my profile name matches the name of the President of Align Tactical. Unlike Facebook, in which I've freely disclosed both my affiliation while simultaneously able to post details on new products, Forum etiquette dictates that companies are not allowed to disclose both affiliation with and mention any new products without being quarantined to their designated Vendor chatroom. Individuals however, are unfettered in their ability to share images and express their thoughts, feelings, and hands-on experiences, thus creating a more interactive and informative environment within main general chat rooms. The content I've shared was perhaps done with an unbridled enthusiasm.. still think it's pretty damn cool, and had to be cognizant of any perception to affiliation in phrasing 'we', 'they', 'I', to continue among a group of Avatars whom tend to have funny names. Now that I won't have to intentionally separate the two to retain chatroom privileges, I'm here to answer any and all product related questions but you're SOL for knowing any new products coming down the pipe... so just subscribe

Yes, very large hands are the one issue I've seen. If your thumbs extend so far forward that you can't hit the controls on a weapons light by just rocking it straight down, it may not work well. Definitely gives more wiggle with an open design than closed one of the other product. Appreciate the feedback on table starts. It was a comment from another competition shooter that stated the same, that helped ensure the thumb rest resolves it when working together. Do you have that issue with all extended mag releases as we are looking at only 2mm more extension.

So we can get to the main course, are you still having the pinching issue? Refer to the FAQ provided as you're rolling the thumb. It's impossible to pinch the other way. When the part was developed with a flat ledge, I shoved my thumb in the slide notch on purpose to ensure I wasn't drawing blood. The resolution was to add a slight slope, match the natural rolling cant of the thumb and pressing it flat. Had to get away from using the Gen 1 style P320 levers where we tend to push into them to keep traction from an extremely sloped lever.

Well guess you definitely satisfied the curiosity and may consider anything I say with implied bias but the observations are sound and my experience with forums is you pay thousands to become a premium member or get banned the moment you state who you are and what you offer. Forums do not allow "advertising" but an individual experience, which I exemplify is tolerated. So consider my name "Publius" in light of our forefathers' collective pen name writings. I respect your perception

Curious what makes you say that from copying and pasting the details from the FAQ? I like the products, think their great, and answering questions from experience. Guess I need to tone down the enthusiasm.

Doesn't have that issue with the thumb rest installed. Runs perfectly and lifts it off the table. They have a picture of it with a reflection on the website for the takedown lever

    OFFSET Mag Release

I thought the same, but checked the FAQ on the website (copy and pasted) which talks about just that in their design: It's true, works perfectly without a single issue when used correctly .. if you use it like a *thumb rest [generic]*, you're asking to be pinched... I just press my thumb flat "like a fingerprint reader" and don't roll the meaty part against the slide.
  12. Takes nearly all noticeable muzzle flip out to the point it doesn't feel like a 9... Absolutely night and day like you said..

X5SigChris, The Offset is definitely the way to go and I've got medium/small hands and still never have to roll anything with this. I can lock my grip and easily press the mag button a hundred times in a row without my grip moving. If you feel you still need to get more leverage then would recommend getting the X-small sized grip and you really won't have to worry. That is unless you are gripping pistols such that your knuckle is rubbing on the beavertail, instead of letting it sit in the middle of the web of your hand where you'll get the proper leverage. Align recently added some media links below their webpage, that gives a good look at the parts (see pic). Your grip will be way higher and more comfortable than you can get with anything else. Feels great, and your thumb doesn't have to travel downward as far since it is offset up higher to meet it. I don't even feel the Offset in my support hand, whereas the Springer goes backwards towards the center of your palm, so you can either have it dig in or accidentally drop a mag as some have done. After running this I don't even bother looking at other upgrades and with the new thumb rest... it is a game changer! I'm a devout believer in their products.

    CZ TSO holster

I know this post is older, but anyone try the open Ghost race holsters? Like the newer barrel supported One or Evo? I'd like a secure lock up without play, so the DAA Alpha X seems out based on what I've read here, don't want binding, definitely don't want to drop the gun like some other brands I've read about, but nobody seems to have mentioned Ghost. This is for a new style TSO and there are limited options but want the best that's currently available.

Yeah, I've heard another left-hander who tried mine say that it is also more comfortable. As far as getting pushed in, I've lightly touched the dremel to only one of my holsters to keep it from touching and that was enough to prevent any issue. All my other holsters worked perfectly fine. I make my gear work for the gun, kydex is easy to tweak.
  16. LOL , thanks for sharing and good to know.
  17. Yeah, I wondered the same and have no details on that one. They would have to either make one themselves or just talk to any number of the million holster makers popping up that would be happy to step up to the plate in short order. Btw, grass petal is a catchy trademark that a certain company made a huge stink about on a forum when applied to anything that wasn't theirs, so thumb rest is the universal reference we need to jump on with these.
  18. Totally agree, though I can see where manufacturers would be hesitant to cut a slot into their product saying "Use this feature for when our stuff breaks" as that doesn't inspire confidence from any shooters, especially those who don't tune loads to springs. Even so, with the formula 1 race pistol shooters, I know hardened tool steel that is designed for shock and costs more, certainly inspires a lot more confidence with me than just stainless so I'd be fine shooting it with 12 lb spring all day long. I may be wrong but those few seeing breakage, were they using mouse fart loads tuned to just cycle that low of poundage, so that the slide isn't accelerating warp speed to smack into the slide stop? I'd think a properly tuned load that fails to cycle 14-15 lbs would not be as harsh on the gun, but someone would have to try it and report back. Either way, I heard the boiler plate and still more confident in the proper materials and hardness for the job, so should last way longer than the other parts on the market. If I can afford to put 10-15k rounds in it, not a big deal to replace a cheap part when the spring wears out. Which by the way, those 12 lb springs wear out much faster and drop to 10 or less in short order, so perhaps those who broke the factory or GoGuns versions could test their current spring poundage and chime in what the real weight is showing?
  19. You can send the ammo to me, I'll be happy to dispose of it for you.
  20. Not sure if it was said in here as this thread is pretty long due to merging, so will add my tidbit. The polygonal rifling just creates a tighter seal in which over pressure can be created when enough lead fouling accumulates. An interesting tidbit to mention with the Glock Gen 5 barrels is they were originally called the Glock "Marking" barrels with traditional rifling due to Miami PD need to identify which rounds were shot out of which guns. Since marketing didn't think it would sell, they cut a crown and renamed it to "Marksman" barrel.
  21. Yeah, their website is https://www.aligntactical.com and there is a Contact page where they are quick to respond with answers. They said the takedown lever is made stronger than other products on the market because they are using Hardened S7 Tool Steel. Compared to stainless which competitors are machining and many of which are not even hardened. Their existing mag releases are made in Texas on the same production line Sig uses to make the military M17/M18/P320 parts to spec, so they can have tight tolerances and keep the price affordable, like less than half the price of the part the OP put in the first post (No way I'd pay $135 bucks...) so around $60 is more like it! Said that CNC will be used for parts that require it and different products will use different steels and hardness requirements, so nothing appears to be universal between firearm parts. In regards to a hex or slot for breakage, what they said is that it is typically seen on weaker steels and the biggest issue is when low spring weights are used, because 12 lbs and under batter the crap out of takedown levers, so they recommend sticking with 14 lb springs or higher unless you want to make any part potentially replaceable since the safety channel is the weak link in Sig's design. I did see that GoGuns mentions their machined 17-4 cracks a lot in the FAQ page, so makes sense and was something that kept me away from it, that and the looks... Regarding the question on how far it sticks out, hard to tell from only one picture but for reference was told it sticks out far enough to get 2/3 of a typical thumb, so your millage may vary. Well, checks all the boxes for me and looks like it belongs on the pistol.

    OFFSET Mag Release

Figured I'd add this pic to the post since I got an email with a cool pic going around that has their button installed. Align Tactical was demoing their newest product at the local ranges that should be released in December! It's a Thumb Rest Takedown Lever and if you are on their mailing list should know the moment its available! Looks awesome!
  23. Had a buddy email me a picture of the item I was referring to. It's Align Tactical's newest part that they took to the local ranges here and let people try out, so sneaking the pic that is going around from shooters who were told it should go on sale next month. Drooling since I love my Offset Mag releases and this is another great design that looks fricken awesome! Best position, being more forward for natural thumb placement and increased leverage to fight muzzle flip with a lower profile design. Their ledge is center-lined with the axis of rotation, so it applies even pressure and no rotational force. I'm on their mailing list for the moment it goes on sale!
