  1. I am looking forward to this change. 15 rounds is not going to be a cake walk. You will still be doing more reloads than 140mm folks. 32 round field course is going still require 2 reloads. Toss some steel in there and maybe more. I see a lot of 14 /10 /8 type scenarios. IMHO this change is WAY overdue.
  2. EGW makes a dovetail mount for Para. Make sure you get the cut that matches your rear sight. https://www.egwguns.com/1911-dovetails
  3. I have 4 kits of the MBX spring follower. With TTI extensions and Mec-gar 18 round tube I get 23 very reloadable. One of the 4 I can get a 24th round, but no way reloadable. I don't know about the nomenclature of "24 rounds". Is it 24 rounds total in the gun or 23+1? IDK, but I am happy with he 23+1 for now. The TTI + Mac-gar 18 round will fit the EGW gauge - absolutely. No wiggle room. FYI Beretta 18 round magazines that are shipping with several of the recent 92x(s) DO NOT fit the gauge with TTI nor Springer extensions. The Beretta's are longer than the Mac-gar's. MBX now has complete magazines for the Beretta. I have some for other platforms and they have been very good. This should eliminate some of the hurdles with what mag extension works with XYZ magwell. They are on my next purchase list.
  4. I was deep into P16s for a while. I still have 3 and they do run flawlessly. From your description my guess the next round is caught at an upward angle trying to feed. As if it is not sliding up fully to the breach face. Which leads to extractor speculation along with magazines. It can be a bad rabbit hole. You will not like the next part. You are never going to be 100% with factory ammo. This is my opinion/experience and of many others. You absolutely have to load long. 12#. 14# does not really matter. The geometry is not friendly to the short 40 factory rounds. if you can find match long ammunition, give it a try. I run 1.185 to 1.2” COL depending on bullet. You will need to make sure the rounds fit your chamber with a simple plunk test. I would do the above before spending time and money on any other solution.
  5. The TTI universal extension is working very well with both the Beretta magwell and the Springer magwell. This is with the Mac-Gar 18 round tube and does fit the EGW gage. Note: Beretta factory 18 round tubes with TTI extensions or Springer extensions will NOT fit the EGW gage. The TTI retention system is much better than the Springer. I have/had issues with the little set screw on the Springer extensions disappearing at the worst time. I have many Springer products and all have been very nice quality except this set screw idea. MBX is making a follower / spring kit that will get "24 rounds" in this combination according to website, but I have not tried. MBX has "coming soon" a 140mm magazine for the Beretta 92. I am considering trying the follower / spring kit, but highly anticipating the whole MBX magazine. With the mono tube, I would think about any magwell would work. I have several MBX mags for other platforms and they have been exceptional.
  6. Right, this is what I see. I just think a clarification is needed. Unless this is what they want. I have been on a couple of bylaw committees and I envy this crowd 0.0 . Its tough taken a working doc and weaving in the changes you want without creating other headaches. I know many people that have come and gone in USPSA membership only to circle back around years later. Usually picking up a few matches as a non-member to restart.
  7. Comment or question here. "4.14 Non-Payment of Dues or Fees: Any member shall be terminated from the membership for non-payment of dues or fees." "4.13......A suspended or terminated member may not participate nor officiate in any USPSA sanctioned events ....." Is the above not in conflict with Appendix 1 for Level 1 matches. So if I member drops USPSA membership then no participation in Level 1 events? I get the suspension part, but for terminated member for non-payment? Or is a level 1 match consider non-sanctioned?
  8. I am still loving the Gen 3s. It is all I have. The only Gen 5 that has caught my eye is the 17. I have been debating sending a Gen 3 slide to have cut for DPP. If the Gen 4s are dumped I have zero issue in getting a 17/34 MOS in Gen 4. I had Gen 2s and traded them for Gen 3s. I guess I am in the camp where I like the finger groves. At least I hear the .40s Gen 5s are in the pipe.
  9. Thanks, this is the log that was available. I thought since the rules are "evergreen" now it would be important to keep the change log available to the masses.
  10. I must be getting old. I thought on the USPSA website there was a rules change log. I cannot find it and under the rulings and the link for official rulings says all have been implemented in the rule book. Part 2, I could have sworn I had a copy of the rules that had the changes documented inside?
  11. Hi Deadeye, Yes, it will fit a Canadian or Pineville model without modification. From the photo you had posted, it looks like a Pineville? Due to checkering on the front strap?
  12. I will take $40 for the ICE and extra insert via PayPal.

    Thanks

  13. I just bought 4 REAL P16 bodies from Numrich. $13 a piece. No Crap. I also bought the last 3 S&A magwells S&A had. I had my P16s milled for the S&A. Now the guns take a various amount of mag base pad combos. I can run Dawson and I get 20 reloadable. I can run Dawson's on the $20 MecGar mags and get 19. I have 12 H2G Para mags and 20+ MecGars. So I am set for a while. I load to 1.178" COL Blue Bullets 180. I am getting 100% reliability. I have an ICE magwell and extra insert laying around now with no home. This combo worked fine with MBX mags or Canadian Para tubes and Dawson Base pads. The MBXs were not 100% for me. If I ran the gun dry, it would swallow the follower into the chamber. It was a show stopper. Really nasty. I could just not make a go of it. Seemed like a really good product. I was told to get Grams followers. Could never find any. Sold them off. Went down the S&A route and have never looked back.
  14. This is more than likely the Carbide ring broke on the sizing die. I had this happen about 2 years ago. I could not even see the crack with my eyes, but it would expand and shrink as the die worked the brass. Replaced with another Dillon and is running fine. The new gen FL sizing die has the spring loaded de-capper. Once in a blue moon the E-Clip will break. It comes with a spare. I recommend you keep a few around. Its a standard E-Clip and 1/4" size. For me, its Dillon or Redding for dies. For both 9mm and 40 I have never had an issue with brass not sizing right with Dillon dies. I see no need for a modified or lee die. But, the Lee / EGW seems to be very popular. I am in the neighborhood of 10-20K rounds a year on reloading depending on shooting demand. Some years less some more.
  15. ArrDave -> Trying not to be rude, but your message structure is very broken. You mention 3. Then a button stopped working. Which one? My experience with the DPP is limited to one. I must say it has not been good. It lasted 6 magazines before I gave up. Turned off twice within the six strings. Mounted on a Glock G34 with minor powder puff rounds. Outer Impact dovetail mount. It is in transit to Oregon as I type. I will say Leopold was very responsive via email. In the end, they recommended I send it in for service. I am mildly optimistic.
  16. Just mounted a new DPP on my Glock 34 G3. Was like a little kid at Christmas. Sight it in at 15 yards on a metric. All well and good. Now off to the steel plates. Sadly It did not make it through 6 strings. Turned off twice at random while firing. This was gong to be my jump into CO. This has kind of squashed the will now. I have contacted Leopold via email.
  17. Grams. I had some for Glock years ago.
  18. I am slowly become a fan of the 357 Sig. I have two conversion barrels for a couple of Glocks. Factory ammo is not so much more $. I found a cache of once fired brass too. My 650 is G2G with the Mr. BF with 9mm and standard Dillon 40 stuff. Just add dies. Speer Lawman 125 barely makes PF. Its available at $17/50 + rebate. So there is some downloaded factory offers to play with. I am considering shooting the G22 conversion in limited for S & G. Now, for non-game stuff. Some of the other factory options are just the heat for SD. IMHO the 40 can't keep up, but that is an ongoing drug out horse beaten debate. It is snappy in the G22, but very flat. One thing that I have noticed, it is very accurate. There seems to be a resurgence on the interwebs about the 357 Sig. And I was not too surprised that it came up here on Enos.
  19. Question; I have 5 TTI Glock extensions for my G35 setup. 3 I have been using for a few years and hold 18 rounds with some give for easy reloads. So, I am getting back into limited. Last week I ordered two more TTI extensions in Tan color. I cannot get 18 rounds in either one. I have tried several tubes and swapped springs/followers from my older ones that work. Its a hard stop at 17, not mushy, hard. Visibly I can see no difference between the new ones and old ones. Then to add insult, yesterday one of my existing TTI did two speed unloads during match. I have put it back together with a newer tube, so I shall see. I love TTI's stuff, but now my confidence is shaken.
  20. My 2 cents, a well built 1911 is not so much a mystery to keep running. Its good to know the basics, but you don't need to be a basement gunsmith. When you do have a problem and you are limited in knowledge, put the Dremel down and find a good smith.
  21. Looking around, maybe my English is not so good. Does this imply its OK for CO, but not production? " Notes: Added Q5 Match 6/2/2016, updated weight 7/27/16 Added Creed 9mm 2/8/17 Added Q5 Match SF (steel frame) Carry Optics only, without mag well. 1/4/19 . Creed 9mm 4 inch barrel (26.6 oz.):
  22. Yep, I zeroed in on Classifiers for when they did move the website I have not been able to find the "book". We usually keep an updated classifier book printed and in the connex box.
  23. It's under club resources -> other resources -> classifier diagrams. It's very important to check this link for a good amount of classifiers have been retired. There are also several new classifiers in the 18-xx series. You do need to be logged into the website. They are also available on the USPSA app. On iOS it's under classifier diagrams.
  24. Yes, you will have to adjust a tab bit depending on the bullet. Its pretty simple process and these videos make it pretty clear. http://www.mrbulletfeeder.com/video-tutorials/ The video on the nose guide is super valuable. You do need a stable bench, but this should be true even without the BF. My bench absolutely does not move or shake.
