  1. Thank you, I'll look into that option. The shadow also sounds like an option, as well as a TSO.
  2. When I tried the Everglades ammo in my gun, it kept jamming. I know the gun had trouble with longer OALs.
  3. I've decided that, at least at this point in my life, reloading is one step too much. I haven't got the time or the patience for it. So, I am wondering if I must sell my beloved CZ Czechmate Parrot as well since I won't be making 9mm major for it. Does anybody use factory ammo in these guns? I'd love to find some affordable factory ammo that will still drive the comp. I realize I won't make major but honestly I don't care that much. This sport is just for fun. Thanks!
  4. It's 9x19. It comes with an interchangeable barrel and spring so you can shoot 9mm minor or major.
  5. It's build specifically for that. The gun has a 1-1.5 lb trigger. Unbelievable.
  6. I'm looking for a rubber cover for my C-More. It didn't ship with one for some reason and I would like to protect it. Thank you.
  7. Ok, that's what I think I will do. Thank you for the advice. This way I can learn but with lower risks. I appreciate all the input.
  8. I think I will set up the Parrot for 9mm minor until I can work up a safe minor load, then go from there. Probably a safer route. Just curious, can you use Hodgon HS-6 for standard 9mm?
  9. I'm in Utah. We have a plethora of shooters and reloaders.
  10. I was expecting emails telling me I had responses...so I thought that I had none!
  11. By the way, I'm not offended. Just give it to me straight. Would rather the shame then blow my head off.
  12. Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll ask around at my next match for somebody who can help. You are right, I am in over my head. This is how I approach life in general, however, so it's nothing new for me. However, I recognize that ammo is a bit more of a risky business so I'll approach it more cautiously. I went out and got a new chrono from Sportsman's so I'll start using it. See, if I didn't come on here and ask and open myself up to the embarrassment of being a newb and and a total idiot, I wouldn't learn! Still....gotta learn somehow I guess. Also, I found some 9mm major for sale from a shop in Florida. I may give it a try and see if I can reverse engineer it.
  13. Ok, great. I will shorten the OAL down. That seems to be a common issue.
  14. I honestly have no idea what that means. I feel a bit embarrassed but as another poster mentioned, I'm "jumping in with both feet."
  15. Would that be Nampa, Idaho? I'm in Utah. Would be a very doable trip for a "travel" match for me.
  16. I've just started reloading, and I finished my first few batches of 9mm major for use in my CZ Czechmate. Here's my formula that I've tried: Mixed brass 7.8-8.0 gr Hodgon HS-6 CCI #500 Primers Berry's RN 124gr bullets OAL 1.16 & 1.17" I'm dealing with a couple of issues. The first issue I encountered was jamming. This happened with my first batch, which had an OAL of 1.17". I reduced that to 1.16" and it mostly solved that problem. The second problem I found at the USPSA match yesterday. I had about 7 or 8 duds, that is, the round chambered and I pulled the trigger, nothing. Since it was a match I couldn't stop and check out the problem, I just racked another round and kept going. This was very frustrating and killed my times. This, I think, is the main issue I need to solve. The brass I was using was mixed brass, decapped and "cleaned" by somebody else, but I am wondering if the primer pockets were not actually cleaned and this caused the problem. Also, I am finding that I can find magnum pistol primers but basically no SPP -- is it safe to use magnum primers with 9mm major? Thanks.
  17. This is what I thought. I may trade in my TS2 for a TSO in .40 S&W.
  18. Do most people focus 100% on one div? I enjoy shooting iron sights.
  19. Hello, I just started with USPSA. Shot my third match this past weekend and it's kind of addicting. I'm based in Utah and shoot with the SLPSA club. I went out and picked up a couple of guns, admittedly I didn't do a whole lot of research. The first gun I bought was a CZ TS2 in 9mm, and I also bought a CZ Czechmate Parrot in 9mm, which is built to shoot +P+ major rounds. After shooting three matches with my TS2 (haven't tried the Parrot yet), I'm noticing something rather obvious. Shooting A fudgecicle nobody but a few crayon chewers and winder likkers want really sets you at a disadvantage. I'm fairly accurate, yet my scores are about 1/2 of everybody else's, even if I'm faster and more accurate. I was thinking of getting into this more seriously. If I want to be serious about shooting in Limited, should I consider trading in my TS2 for a similar gun in .40 S&W? I know they make the TSO in 40 and they may even make the TS2 in 40, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Also, when I get around to getting my reloading setup 100% functional, I'll be loading 9mm major. I think, the last time I read the rules, you cannot shoot 9mm major in limited, but you CAN shoot in open, correct? Otherwise, my Parrot is a very expensive paper weight. Thanks! - Austin from Utah PS: I have no idea why that phrase in the second paragraph is there, lol.
