  1. Hi, you will find the latest (printable) manual here: http://dillonhelp.com/manuals/english/RL550B_v7_8.pdf? On page 17 & 18 you will find the charts with the conversion kits. Sometimes the conversion kits nearly consist of the same parts (e.g. to reload .308 and .30-06 you just need the conversion kit from one plus the shellholder from the other or .338 WinMag and 7mm RemMag just need a different Powder Funnel) so you can save a lot.... To convert the 550 to the 550B I got the following parts from Dillon (most of them free, for some I had to pay...): #14015 Primer Track Bearing #20250 550B FAILSAFE & BUZZER (= #20302 Primer Early Warning System + #20303 Powder Measure Failsafe Kit) #97034 Powder Measure Lock-Link Assembly just look at the schematic in the manual, which parts are missing on your Dillon.... Dont forget to order a spare parts kit, and some 1" Die Lock Rings (with wrench), and pickup tubes for the primers... Hope this helped a little bit... Have fun, Peter
  2. My LesBaer came with a Wilson mag... no mag related problems so far... Peter
  3. In a few days I will get my new (used) 650XL After reading everything I could find about Dillon equipment (and the BE site and forum have got a lot of interesting stuff to read!) I think the 650 is the best upgrade to my LoadMaster and Pro1000.... While reading the 550B vs. 650XL FAQ's and discussions I always thought that the 550B would be a very nice and helpful secondary machine for load development and small batches of my "low volume calibers" BUT that means - another X conversion kits, toolheads, dies and so on (don't have enough space for that and I would better like to spend my money for another 650) - I can't develop a load on the 550 and just swap the toolhead for crunching out a large batch of that load on the 650 - once more adjusting the dies.... - no powder check AND bullet seating / crimping with 2 dies (I think this is more critical on a manual indexing machine than on a auto-indexing one - the user is the error most often) --> What about a 650B or 650XS? A machine with the features of the 550B (no case feeder, manual indexing,...) but made for the 650XL toolhead, conversion kit and "measurements" (so that the die adjustments are the same for both machines). - An ideal beginners machine (like the 550 - even more safe with the powder check). - Buying the 650XL wouldn't be such a great deal anymore - as you would have already the toolheads.... Would you like (and buy) that? Why? Why not? Would that be a good business for Dillon? Peter PS: Sorry for my bad English. If you don't understand something, I'll try to explain it in other words....
