  1. Don't have that specific model, but I do have the 3.5-10x44 SIII. The optics are fantastic. I have a Leupold Mark 4 scope thats optics are not as nice as the Sightron. In fact, I'm selling the Leupy to get a couple more Sightrons.
  2. I'll answer for Stuart (I don't think he'll mind). Angus had a small nummber of colored grips, of which these are a pair. It seems that multiple other colors are available in Europe, but not much other than the standard aluminum has made it to these shores.
  3. Angus Hobdell's site - ghostholster.com
  4. Beginning in January 07, all new semi autos being sold here in Cali had to have both a mag disconnect and loaded chamber indicator. While I think the LCI is lame, I appreciate Ruger not forgetting about the Cali folk.
  5. Barsto makes the conversion barrels. You can get them directly through Barsto. Also, check Top Gun Supply. He carries the Barsto barrels as well.
  6. That millet sight (from the Brownells link) is not what you are looking for. Get the one from Angus at Ghostholster.
  7. 97TexasAggie, Very Nice looking pistol.
  8. ^ ^ ^ Yummy (At least I thought so- my 3-year-old son wasn't too into the swiss cheese)
  9. I'm gonna try this tonight. Sounds Yummy
  10. Very Nice. Thanks for the vids.
  11. Enjoy your pistol. Regardless of the opinions of others, what matters is what works best for you.
  12. Sigh. I wish these were available in California.
  13. I'm starting to get the feeling I need a revolver. Nice pistols guys.
  14. Last time I was at the Bellagio I had a hard time making it past the chocolate fountain.... The company that I work for did the structural design of that Bellagio Tower. You would be amazed at how much money it cost them to redesign the structure for that stuid chocolate fountain! Back to the topic.. Powdered "cheese" is my favorite. Add half a can of tuna= ghetto casserole.
  15. Is it bad when you are more excited about cooking some simple mac and cheese that your 3-year-old son? Seriously, I don't think I will ever get tired of the stuff. And to make it even better, they now have Spiderman mac and Cheese! Sweet
  16. I'm pretty excited about this finish- it looks to be the same stuff as on my Kahr PM9 slide, which has held up very well to regular carry use.
  17. I carry a Kahr PM9, but shoot a CZ 75b SA in ESP.
  18. A popular combination seems to be a Warren Tactical rear sight (solid black) in combination with a Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight. The U notch in the Warren sight and fiber optic front make this combo very fast to acquire.
  19. Here is a link to some pictures of a strip of the CZ frame: http://p201.ezboard.com/fczechpistols82792...picID=855.topic This link is for a standard 75b. The ambi-safeties model is similar. The safety levers must be in the "on" position to be removed. Just wiggle them a little as you are pulling the levers out. They're tight at first, but will slip right back in. Once the sear block is removed, the remainder is pretty simple (just some removal of pins and a screw for the mag release spring. If the pin sizes are the same as a standard CZ, you should use 2mm and 3mm punches available from Miossi Gun Works.
  20. See my post above. The M&P is not legal for SSP division due to it's "single action" trigger. The M&P is similar to the Glock in that the trigger pull finishes cocking the striker. It is generically classified as a DAO pistol, therefore it can compete in SSP.
  21. I have heard of someone installing one on a witness. From what I recall, they had to do some fitting but were able to get it working. Here's a pic of my CZ SA with the same magwell and grips: The grips certainly do thin things up. The grips add about 1/16" to each side of the frame. The pistol feels quite slender with them on.
  22. There are a few Cali-friendly 9mm 1911s. Kimber sells one, as does Springfield and Para. The Para is double stack, and therefore likely wouldn't be the best choice given her small hands. The 9mm 1911s, coupled with a short trigger, should work well for her. Like others have said, however, let her try a lot of different pistols to find one that works for her.
  23. If you go the M&P pistols section on the S&W website, and click on one for further description, it lists all models in that caliber. In this windown you can see that S&W calls it a "mag safety."
