  1. I rarely deep clean my pistol barrels. I do clean the chamber and feed ramp really well. Rifles on the other hand are a totally different animal! Accuracy suffers drastically when rifles get heavy copper fouling.
  2. I have several that do the same thing. It's only a pain when inserting the first round. If the mags otherwise run flawlessly, it's really not a big deal.
  3. You never hear of OPEN shooters wish they had back up iron sights. We've been using red dots for over 20 years. For a carry/duty gun it's probably a good idea. For competition, forget about it. One the first things I did to my X5 was drift off the front sight post.

    Loading mags

Or you could just acquire a pile of 10 round mags.

    GOOD QUESTION

If it's a game gun, lose the front sight.
  6. I have been using the Arradondo slide for about 20 years. Great product. BUT, do not use with any type of stick powder. It will damage the charge bar. For very fine flake and ball powders, it works really well. A lot less sifting through of powder.
  7. If you already have a limited gun, then build an open gun.
  8. Shooters connection, Ben stoeger pro shop, etc.
  9. Fill it with JB WELD. It's about the same color as the slide.
  10. Holy crap . That's a new one for me. Try using needle nose pliers and twisting it.
  11. For 45 ACP, I quit worrying about the primer pockets a couple decades ago.
  12. If they all stick, it's probably not the mags.
  13. About time you got on here!
  14. And no matches to shoot! Kung flu sucks!
  15. You can't go wrong with a Dillon 550 press for nearly all of your reloading needs. I've been running one for well over 20 years.
  16. I use small rifle primers in just about everything I load. .380, 9, 40, 38sc, etc. You need/should run rifle primers at major pf. That way you get less primer flow and flattening.
  17. That all depends on what caliber you are shooting and what power factor. Need more information.....
  18. Not legal. IMO, you are using the other arm as a support. Hold the free hand tight to your chest. That way it doesn't flop around like a pendulum. You can't support the other arm in any way.
  19. Should be able to use about any data for 124gr FMJ or hollow points. May have to tweak it a little bit for your gun.
  20. I have been running AFTEC in all my 1911/2011 pistols for 20 years. I have never had to change springs or broken one yet. Knock on wood. So, what's that tell ya.
  21. It's hard to say for sure. Load them up and try them. Worst case, dead primer. They will probably be just fine.
  22. Check my last post! I use 4.5 grains.
