Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Friday all-day slots are full. Both sets of 1/2 day Saturday - 1/2 day Sunday slots are almost full. By popular demand we've added Saturday all-day slots. Applications available here --> Match Application
  2. Take a few extra days off in February, the Florida Open is the weekend before the Florida IDPA Championship. Shoot both! Great time of the year to visit Florida.

Can you explain this part? You do not insert you new mag until you get into the next shooting position?
  4. All the upper or 25% of lower from any single shooting position.
  5. The orthopedic doc said that waiting too long to treat this can lead to a very long recovery. In addition stress fractures can occur if left untreated which will have to be dealt with also. One of the lawyers my wife works with had the exact same symptoms as I did but he lived with the pain for a much longer time. He got a stress fracture because of it and got the boot for 6 weeks. Listen to your body. It will tell you if some maintenance is due. +1,000,000 Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and an avulsion fracture of the right calcaneus...I was out of comission for six months! Oh and let's not forget the arthritis that developed in the right ankle! Man, getting old sucks!
  6. Even if that's an exaggeration, it makes the point that it was not a cheap product for him to develop. Unfortunately for him, he developed a $375 product that's barely worth $5 in marginal value to the average shooter. That he wants $240K+ per year for!
  7. Did I read this right. The developer spent 5 man years full-time developing this software? That's 10,400 hours!
  8. Could you post the actual question posed to Amidon?
  9. 1st off it's none of the other SO's business and he needs to keep out of it. Just like the peanut gallery - keep your mouths shut! The only people with any authority on the stage are the SO's assigned to that stage. As an SO, when I'm not running shooters, I keep my mouth shut unless there is a safety issue. 2nd - 11 shots on a 12 shot stage = FTDR, IMHO. Brian
  10. You'll want five mags on the belt, plus one in the gun. In production, you change mags almost every time you move to a new shooting position - even with a handful of rounds left it it. I personally use the Comp-Tac adjustable Cant belt holster and their single mag pouches. The single mag pouches give you more flexibility in locating them on the belt.
  11. Good question. Since I drive a mininum of 45 minutes each way to any local match (and I shoot 3 times/week) I suppose I could handle 2 hours. If I had a shooting partner (I hate driving alone) I might do three.
  12. Just don't tell him I missed four. I'll never here the end of it from him. Well, on second thought.....I just looked at the scores for that stage and he only beat me by 1%, so I guess there won't be too much gloating...
  13. Yeah, I really stunk up that stage! Us old, fat guys with bad backs & knees and failing vision don't run well One of my four Mikes was on one of those wide open targets on the right! It was like 3 feet away! I don't even think I was looking at the target. I was focused on where to plant my feet at the barricade. And prematurely thinking about my reload I was quite happy with my performance on Stage 3 and even more so on 5! (Two good stages of out six: Typical for me) Any stage that I can shoot 50% of Smitty is a great day for me!
