Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I know this is a stupid question, but how do I self-squad? Can we do that now? Because I can't seem to find the directions on how to go about self squadding....
  2. I booked a rental car from Fox for the nationals because it was the cheapest by far. But I've come across a lot of negative reviews for Fox. It probably varies from state to state but how's Fox rent a car in vegas? Thanks for any feedback.
  3. Hi Kim, got it. thanks. see you all at the nats Raul
  4. Hi Kim. the ATF won't process my form 6 unless I have an invitation to the US nationals. Can I request for one? I already paid for my slot Raul Philippines F-58461 davaodoc@yahoo.com
  5. Hi Linda, I actually also posted this in GV but I'd like to know: 1) what would be less hassle for a foreign shooter travelling with their shotgun? land in nashville and cross into KY or land in louisville? I'm not familiar with TN and KY state laws regarding transport of firearms. also, it would be a shorter stopover wait for me if I landed in nashville. 2) since the available hotel options would be cave city or bowling green, should we keep the shotgun locked in the car trunk at the hotel overnight or can we bring it into our hotel rooms? or can we keep it somewhere near the range? Thanks Raul
  6. Able's and the Benelli website says that the M2 rifled slug barrel requires a modified forend, which is sold separately. Unfortunately I couldn't find where to purchase the modified forend. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance - Raul
  7. at a recent level 2 match in the Philippines. he had his eye and ear protection on so the RO said he was good to go.
  8. 1) in the international matches i have been to, some of the available shotgun ammo are longer than the 2 5/16 inches that fit on the strippers i use. 2) most of them have a PF much much higher than the 480 floor needed. i have mine loaded to about 540 3) i know the shot pattern of the ammo i have been using for the past 5 years 4) with a lot of no-shoots, being familiar with the shot pattern would probably be a good idea 5) trying out new ammo, checking what fits best on my stripper, patterning it for various distances for the various chokes, checking out the point of impact of the slugs at various distances etc, then ordering a considerable quantity of slugs, birdshot and buckshot would mean i would have to be in the US, at the very least, more than a week before the match 6) including travel, (i live in asia) that would mean i would have to be off work for at least two weeks (a half-month) 7) with my own ammo, i could just go, shoot the match and leave but i'll give your suggestion a shot (no pun intended). thanks
  9. Hi Linda, I would like to use my own ammo. would it be legal to ship a bunch of shotgun ammo into the US ahead of the match? How do I go about doing it? I tried looking at the ATF website but couldn't find the right guidelines/permit. Thanks in advance sorry, forgot to mention i'm from outside of the US

  11. It might have been so because the targets at this year's nationals were mostly up close. Increase the target distances and we would probably have seen more top shooters use a 6'
  12. I am an IPSC shooter, this was my first US Nationals, my first time shooting USPSA and my first time shooting USPSA production. I have shot Austalasia, Worldshoot and several level 3 matches worldwide. My observations: The RO's are among the most friendly, helpful and down to earth guys I have come across (compared to some of the RO's I've encountered in Worldshoot) The stages were practical, offered a lot of shooting options and gave a good balance of DVC (speed, power and accuracy). The target distances were also more practical. There were lots of cold water in each stage available to both shooters and ROs alike. Will I be back next year? You bet.
  13. Stephen told me there was a mix up while loading. instead of using 123gr heads, they accidentally used 115 gr. I think he was 8th at last year's open nats.
  14. Just been to the nationals range and it is hot hot hot.
