No issues with your JG shoe so far? Does the back of the trigger safety catch on the frame?

I recently installed the JG Vex shoe on my gen 5 17 and am failure to fire issues, when shooting groups and slowly pressing the trigger back. No issues when slapping trigger aggressively. Apparently this is caused by the interaction between the trigger bar and firing pin safety, and JG said timney has an upgraded bar to address. I had zero issues with the timney shoe. I checked the timney website and don’t see any upgraded bars available. Anybody have any recommendations?

I've had a Vanek (stock striker, 4 or 4.5 lb striker spring) in my Gen 3 G34 for at least 10-15k rounds. Just got a Timney for the CO G17 Gen 5 I am assembling - haven't fired it yet but it feels like a whole different trigger compared to the Gen 3 Vanek and may fix my only real gripe with Glocks.

What brand and type of springs do you use? I’m thinking I will want less than the 16lb it comes with.

I’m switching to a 17 this year for CO. Shot a 34 in prod for forever. Went with 17 bc of cost and determined the longer sight radius is unnecessary with a dot

Anyone here have recommendations on a Gen 5 17 uncaptured guide rod? TTI is out of stock. Can I just get the adapter and run a gen 3 guide rod?

I use whatever I find on the ground on the range, sorry guys no starline for me
