When you load amd make ready, do you engage the safety? Or im my case the decocker? Or do you load a magazine and rack the slide and then holster it? Thanks

I am a watcher from the side at the moment, and all this talk of mag capacity makes me wonder, how many rounds are shot on average? I am thinking of going to my first match and since I do have a production gun (1 on the list and 1 not) so I was wondering ho many mags do you need (since they can only contain 10)?
