Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I just picked one of these in Canada - see pic - couldn’t copy link for some reason A FS OR slide on a TXG grip with a Romeo 1 Pro included I doubt this comes with the Sig grip weight but you could add that later It’ll have a captured spring unlike the X5 Legion but I have a TXG build with an OR Pro Cut slide on a TXG grip with an Xseries FCU and it’s great IMO. The P320 world is an ever evolving platform . I like the simple modularity and the performance is all there too. Extended mag releases are recommended for competition . I’d also change the OEM takedown levers for AC extended versions as the OEM’s can break eventually and it’s a PITA.
  2. Based on overall value , I’d go with a Canik Rival and buy 2 lol ! I compete with a Sig Max and with an OR S2 . But I think the standard OR P10F is an overlooked do all pistol at a great price as well . The PDP SD Pro looks like another do all that can flex between IDPA and USPSA. I have most of the pistols being discussed apart from the G34 as I shoot IPSC and G34’s are not allowed in Production Optics. But there’s guys who kill it with a G17 MOS . As always , it all comes down to the shooter and how much you train in the end anyway.
  3. Cool - I talked to Comp Tac too and they said FS 320 which makes sense so I ordered one from the Canadian distributor I ended up picking up a 3 MOA R1Pro instead of getting a CHPWS plate and the right screws to fit a Holosun into the Romeo/DPP direct cut securely I’ve read a bunch of posts on the 6/32 RMR/Holosun screws stripping in the Sig holes tapped for 6/40 on the Pro cut slide ? First Sig optic - thought I’d mount what the AXG is cut for and check it out - has a cleaner dot than a 507C V2 ( with my prescription eye pro ) Ordered Gray/Black Lok grips Picked up 3 more mags and baseplates so I can match test it eventually Can run it with the magwell in IDPA CO IMO should have come with 3 mags at the price Wasn’t too sure about the pistol after the initial rounds with the stock irons but, after putting down some precision rounds with the optic and getting dialed in a bit with the grip and unfamiliar trigger , I’m feeling this is a pretty sweet all rounder But now I want Walther to issue an alloy framed PDP …
  4. Jumping in on the trigger question - my Alien pulls at 2.8 lbs - a couple mm of travel to defined wall and then a clean break - reset is really short at 2mm - no creep at all in this trigger - has the crisp feel and shape of the best striker you can imagine with the straight pull of a 1911 - it is a hammer fired SA - the hammer is just inverted inside the fixed top rail above the slide - it’s a very simple system Very low muzzle flip , accuracy is on par with a high end 1911 - have shot pairs into the same hole on competition stages - basically the pistol performs as advertised
  5. My Alien has been great except for an issue with charging the pistol with a full mag depending on the ammo - the slide will jamb and not pull back This is a result of the firing pin “ saddle” than drops down in the slide having to pass over the bullet top to rack the slide - you can see the copper marks on the rear of the saddle It works with S&B 124 with effort - but totally jambs on Fed AE and other US made 9mm Will always go into battery from slide lock - Laugo is apparently aware of the problem but can’t engineer 10rnd mags with a lighter spring - I heard that other mags were available but the Canadian distributor did not offer that solution
  6. I picked up an AXG Pro yesterday and put some rounds thru it Liked the frame concept and grip shape - trigger is acceptable Reloads with the magwell were slick in both speed and slide lock - mag release and slide release ergos good Felt some unusual punch and abrasion from the grip texture on my strong hand lower palm after 300 rounds - will swap grips for some Lok Veloce’s I didn’t have any pistols in the 320 platform so I thought this one would be a good option to flex between IDPA/IPSC with an optic The iron sights are good for duty/self defence but I’m used to a fiber optic thin front sight picture so I wasn’t as accurate at long distance as I have been with my iron sighted Shadow 2, Bul 1911 or HK SFPL but similar to my P10F 7 yd groups were all one hole as expected Bill Drill from low ready ( no holster yet) was 1.29 but not used to the trigger at all - so lots of room for improvement To be fair, I haven’t had much trigger time with any P320 variants as of yet Going to try it with a Holosun 507C X2 Vulcan as I have a few HS’s ,an SRO and a Cmore RTS2 - so fun to check out the Vulcan - I’m sure that will improve my practical accuracy The AXG Pro slide will take a direct mount RMR footprint but without the recoil bosses - will see if that assembly has any issues - can always get an aftermarket plate with the bosses Will run it with a Comp Tac International - I haven’t confirmed but I think it fits into the FS XCarry holster Will use whatever universal mag pouches I’ve got laying around I’ll see if the 320 platform suits me - the AXG Pro looks really cool at least lol !
