Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Titegroup for both 9mm and .45ACP myke
  2. I would love to try out a 1050, but my 650 has been great so far and more than covers my needs. myke
  3. I bought an XL 650 as my first press a few years ago and never looked back myke
  4. I've used One Shot for years and never had a problem. myke
  5. I was getting tired of emptying that small akro bin everytime it got full with finished rounds. So I went to Lowe's and picked up a BIG bin to replace it. The bigger bin doesn't hang on the machine but instead just sits next to the machine just below the finished round chute. I've included some pics. I placed the old small bin next to the new one just for size comparison. The new bin works great! The finished rounds just fall into the bin, no other modifications necessary. The big bin can hold more than 1,000 rounds which means you'll have to empty way less often. Cheap upgrade if you ask me
  6. I prefer the ball handle on my XL 650. It has a better "feel" for me. It's all personal preference anyway... as long as you're loading on a Dillon, it's all good
  7. Guess what came in the mail Unpacked: Installed strong mount Mounted to the table Casefeeder installed Finished product - My XL 650 I actually took off the roller handle because I liked the feel of the ball handle better Cheap ammo
  8. I had never reloaded before and I was faced with a similar dilemma... I was torn between the 550B and the XL650. After many sleepless nights, I decided to buy the XL650 with all the goodies from BEnos.com and I couldn't be any happier. I'm so glad I bought the 650 instead of the 550. The casefeeder and auto-indexing is an awesome combo. The optional powder check system is also cheap insurance and peace of mind. Don't even think of getting the 650 without the casefeeder. It's an absolute must. Get the XL650 with all the bells and whistles and don't look back
  9. Here's the workbench in all her glory. I bought an $8 clamping lamp to go with it
  10. Installed the L-brackets... now the acrylic plexiglass is secured to the table top
  11. Got some bullets in the mail today: Precision 230gr RNF bullets
  12. Got stuff from the UPS man today: Berry's 400 Tumbler, rotary sifter, brass polish, and 6 lbs. of corn cob media Didn't think it'd come this fast
  13. It's not really plexiglass, it's more of an acrylic plastic material. It's really flexible, just like a deskpad you see people use on their office desks. Hopefully it won't crack or break later on when I drill holes thru it.
  14. While waiting for my new Dillon XL 650 to arrive, I thought I'd share pics of my reloading setup at home. Here's a pic of a walnut workbench I scored at HomeDepot for $50. This thing is heavy, weighs about 150lbs. The tabletop is 2" of solid wood. I didn't want the tabletop to get all dinged up, so I bought some plexiglass from Lowes and had it cut to fit on the tabletop. Here's a closeup: I'm thinking of installing some L-brackets to secure it to the tabletop and keep it from sliding out of place.
  15. Thanks for answering my questions earlier Brian, you've been great! I'll be a customer for life
