  1. Your press extension should be smooth so that you get your sight picture while you're pressing out and break the shot once you've extended. That is faster than extending out as fast as you can then getting your sight picture. The former technique may feel slower, but when you run it against a timer, you'll see it really is faster.
  2. I layer up and wear a heavy coat when I'm not shooting. I've been to a couple clubs that shoot concealed carry matches when it's really cold so everyone can keep their coats on.
  3. For those who have used the Pact MkIV and the new CED 7000, which one do you like better and why? I'm wondering which one to go with. Thanks for the input.
  4. The old hammer is stock Colt from a series 80 combat target. What kind of safety would work? Or, would a new sear fix it to? I've read on the forums a lot of people having success with the EGW sear/Koenig hammer combo.
  5. I installed a Koenig hammer on my single stack, and now the safety can go on while the hammer is down. It would not do that with the old hammer. The safety still does its job, ie with it on, the hammer does not fall when I squeeze the trigger. Is there any other safety considerations I should be aware of?
