  1. Me too! Most annoying. Does the benos IT gurus ever check this section?
  2. Sarge, I just saw that thread! Thanks for the reply.
  3. An online retailer has these primers for significantly less than other brands I have previously used but before buying, would like to canvass the members for first hand experience (if any) Thanks!
  4. I had been thinking of installing one of these in my 1911 for some time and was ready to order one from EGW when I came across Harrison Design & Consulting and saw that his came with the bottom edge radiused. That ended the decision making process and one was ordered. Took a bit of filing to fit but not difficult (if I can do it anybody can). Just got back from a short range session and muzzle rise was noticeably reduced which is what I was hoping for. Now I wonder why this design isn't more widely used.
  5. Sure hope he doesn't last long. Costs us taxpayers $80-100K/yr to keep their sorry butts incarcerated.
  6. Since your rifle has a 5.56 chamber, why not use 5.56 load data? The latest Hornady manual has this data.
  7. Hey Jim, how is that Do-All working for you? Been thinking about getting one but have heard varying reports on durability and reliability.
  8. KyleC, I have a batch of Win cases that have been fired about 5 times in my 700 and re-sized with about .002 shoulder set back, in other words just like a rimless case. The set up you used is just about guaranteed to result in excessive sizing and subsequent case stretch. Get a RCBS case mike or similar tool and set your die to set the shoulder of cases fired in your rifle back .002-003". This has (obviously) worked well for me. Good shooting!
  9. A division for true Defensive pistols.......not likely to happen, IMO.

    Muck Boots

Roger that! I can't wear any rubber boot. Goretex or equivalent for me.
  11. Hadn't thought to look at Alco &there is one 4 blocks from me! I've been using 2" buff masking tape & I can't tell you how many rounds I put in each target; several hundred no doubt. I'm with the OP on penny pinching and pasters are notorious for falling off. Tape for me!
  12. Are you really loading that much for your '06s to do it on a progressive press? Also, have you priced a Harrell measure??
  13. In my part of the world (central TX) powder availability is not bad at all. Federal 215M primers, however, are non-existant!

    .40 Major in CDP

Some of the rules, etc. do make one wonder if anyone at IDPA HQ does EDC.
  15. Yep, mine weighed 16 pounds. Pretty close to a recoilless rifle!
  16. I do this on my 'blaster' ammo. I measured the throat of my chamber and 10 random cases before and after sizing. Set my Gracey trimmer to lightly trim the longest cases. Works fine. The longer I shoot & reload, the more short cuts I look for. Getting old and tired!
  17. Would be interested to hear of the results of your efforts.
  18. Thanks, guys. Didn't see the holster on Blade Tech site but will look again.
  19. Before I get flamed for not searching including websites, I did with no helpful results. Now, with that said, I defer to the more experienced here for guidance. I may or may not compete but I really enjoy shooting my M15 but need a better, as in quicker holster. Your help is appreciated.
  20. I side with Sarge & Graham Smith. It should be done out of courtesy. Got enough rules already!
  21. Outstanding! Glad they are working with you. Best of luck in your matches.
  22. Recently overheard..."Got any 347 ammo? It's a safari round". I would not be the right person to have behind the counter!
  23. Try Jack First. I get K-frame noses from them.
