  1. Are you trying to start without the safety engaged hoping they don't notice it and then relying on getting a reshoot?
  2. I've shot quite a few level 2 matches in SS but have a backup. I'll see how it goes with CO before I shoot more then a local but will set up a 2nd gun before going to bigger matches.
  3. Thanks. Wow! That's a lot. I'm just curious because as I've mentioned I'm just getting set up for CO with no experience with optics. Starting with an SRO.
  4. Was this shooting major or minor?
  5. Some people would like LO only if they include major/minor scoring. Have enough shooters shot major with a slide mounted optic to determine the reliabilty of them being used with major ammo. Obviously Open guns are frame mounted.
  6. As far as SS, L10 and Production I would love it if SS was popular enough to stand on it's own. But we know where those divisions stand currently. Because of the lack of participation I'd be willing to see some form of combining those divisions. Being just in the process of setting up for CO, I don't know if a seperate LO or allowing SAO guns in CO would be better. But either way it makes it easier for me to also have a backup gun from what I already own.
  7. I didn't catch that he was referencing a single 140 pf eliminating major.
  8. The 140pf 9mm isn't one of the proposals. Just opinions of would some would like to see. It's not going to happen. Unless I missed something?
  9. I only have 45acp 1911s. If all optics in limited 10 were scored minor I wonder how much difference loading some maybe 145-150 pf loads would make, assuming the gun ran reliably?
  10. Yes. If they alllowed optics but not require an optic. My primary division has been SS and some Limited, both major. But obviously not many are shooting SS. I finally am getting a CZ milled to give Carry Optics a go. If they allow SAO or offer the Limited Optics I have a couple of SAO CZs that I could set up as well. There has been previous talk about 8 major, 10 minor Limited 10. I have shot my SS a couple of times in L10. L10 would be a place to allow optics with the option of shooting irons. It's never going to be a big division anyway. If I end up really loving the optic I could put one on my 1911.
  11. Do the CZs with optic ready option use the same plate system as those milled by CZ custom?
  12. This is exactly what SASS does. USPSA has super senior, lady etc, but does not emphasize it. You see the scores for everyone and then you can look for the first senior, lady, law enforcement etc. listed. As far as awards go they may give an "high senior" award, as an example but not in every division.
  13. The staff reset could work if you're trying to have shooters with small squads (I've seen this with 6 per squad) shoot the entire match in half a day with approximately 30 minutes per stage. But I wouldn't see the need at typical matches with full size squads where you have morning and afternoon rotation.
  14. I'm not sure if you can adjust these like that or if it would be possible to mount something that would limit how high you can raise the catch. It seems like it could be done.
  15. The forward falling poppers that use the bolt head on the rear that holds the poppers before dropping and releasing the popper. Some people will push all the way down on the back with their foot pushing the bolt up too high on the poppers. We instruct people to raise the bolt head just enough to hold the popper at the very bottom.

    Cz75b slide swap

    Thanks for the help!

    Cz75b slide swap

I have a CZ75B that I sent the slide to CZcustom for milling and their optic plate. I also have a CZ75B single action only. Are there any issues putting the single action slide on the standard model? I haven't tried putting it on but was wondering if there were any possible problems that might not be obvious to a non gunsmith type shooter.
  18. Great! If you start shooting matches regularly you should make some progress. Then it just depends on if you really want to work at it or not.
  19. I a "husky" guy. Those lightweight match type shirts aren't long enough for me. I buy lightweight t shirts that are longer that tuck in well. I bought a couple of their extra long length shirts but those came down to my knees. I do like the shirts with the shooters names on them. It's embarrassing how many times I've shot with some people and haven't connected their name.
  20. I've recently shot 9mm 135g minor switching for a while from my usual 200 gr 45 175 pf loads. This is just at some local monthly matches but I feel like I can tell the difference on some of the poppers as far as how they're going down.
  21. The trigger on a CZ da/sa when in single action mode after the initial DA first shot is not the same as the trigger on a SAO gun.
  22. All divisions have plusses and minuses. People shoot whichever division or divisions that they want. It can't happen but I think USPSA would be a more interesting sport if the numbers of shooters shooting in each division was spread out a little more evenly. It is less fun to shoot SS when there is very low turnout although it's my favorite division. But people are showing what is popular. Some shooters are shooting in divisions because they want as much competition as possible vs shooting the gun they actualky like to shoot the most. I'm getting set up for CO too.
  23. That's funny. I expected to see a little more beveled bottom or similar but when I looked and saw how big it was I was surprised.
  24. Either way (higher or low round count) the stages and targets need to be challenging. I wouldn't want an extra 10 shots just to hose more targets. In the summer when it's really hot and turnout is low I will happily accept a simpler set of stages with lower round count and less props to set up and tear down, IDPA or USPSA. Out of there by noon. But I don't want that all of the time.
  25. Yes we do want high quality stages. But a lot of shooters don't want to go to the trouble of heading out to a match and shooting 60-70 rounds or less.
