  1. Sorry,a little off topic but if you load 9mm long is it safe to shoot out of a .38SC gun?
  2. I know this was covered before but I could not find any info if a polymer coated bullet is ok in an .38 super open gun with 130pf loads.I know the the turbulance caused by the comp. can tear the coating in a major load but does it also do this in a minor load?
  3. Did they happen to mention what was coming in there shipment.I was considering maybe a Gold Team in 9mm.
  4. I was also considering a Fat Free. What is the average wait on one?
  5. Tanfoglio web site shows a Limited Custom with a fiber optic front site.Does anyone know if this is the model imported to the US.Also is the front site dovetailed?
  6. Just got a Beretta 96 Elite 1A Vertec to use as my production gun.The magazines that came with it have rubber pads to extend their length.I have been told these mag pads came with the Elite series Berettas, are they legal to use in production class.Thanksuntitled.bmp

  10. Hello,My wife has been shooting her Taurus 608 withaTasco PDP3 scope for about a month and now she she really wants to try shooting in one of our local steel matches. My question is,can you use a competition type holster for a S&W N frame for the Taurus or does someone make a holster for a Taurus. Thanks
  11. dmd45 ,try this guy, David King Eaagunner@cox.net Thanks,I will give him a shout.I was going to build a 9mm open gun for steel but this gun seems very good for this right out of the box.Does anybody know if the 9mm version shoots minor loads without changing anything other than possibly the recoil spring?
  12. +1 for Mark he also did a 686 for me and did an excellant job.
  13. Anybody know of a dealer who has one in stock new or used?
  14. The cylinder stop spring has pressure, what I think is wrong is the grooves in the cylinder were not cut deep enough.I compared them to a 686 cylinder and the 608 grooves are not as deep, also the machine marks in the grooves are very rough compared to the 686.I bought the gun from Davidson's and they are going to replace it.I think I am going to spend a little more and get a 686+.Thanks for your help.
  15. Hello,Bought my wife a Taurus 608 to shoot in our local steel challenge type matchs.I have always shot autos and this was my first revolver bought for competition. What I noticed out of the box is the cylinder rotates freely clockwise without touching the trigger but will not rotate counterclockwise unless the hammer is part way cocked. Is this a defect or is this ok.Thanks
  16. TK Custom He had done a few of them a couple years ago. But I think any Revo smith can do the job. I just picked up a spair cylinder and I plan on doing the deed on my own. I also have a spare cylinder and was going to buy a 9X23 chamber reamer and go/no gauges from Brownell's.I have been a machinist for over 15 years and have access to a mill but didn't know if anything other than reaming the cylinder and converting to moon clips was involved.
  17. Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith that does the cylinder conversion on a 686 so you can fire 9mm and 38 super. Thanks
  18. Where can you purchase a 9mm Armscor,I was searching online but only came up with .45 models.
  19. I have an extra glock 34 barrel and was going to port this barrel myself.I have been a machinist for almost 15 years and have the knowledge and machines to do this, but my question is what is the best way to remove any burrs from inside the barrel. Thanks
