I am just getting back into the sport and am wondering this same question. I do have about 2 lbs of 3n37 I want to use up, how well do the coated bullets work with 3n37? Looking at using 124, maybe will even drop to 115's. Any load data or suggestions I would be completely open to.

I actually believe the #3 shell plate is also the same shell plate as 223.

Ok I want to play shoot a little limited and all i have is my XDm 40. I have started gathering components. I was wondering if I could get some starting suggestions for loads. I do not have access to a chrono at this time, and do know loads very. Here is what I have so far to try Bullets HS 180 RN (coated lead) .401 and both TiteGroup and WST Powder on hand. I have read that the TG tends to run hot the gun ...bone stock XDm (for the moment up grades are coming)

That is exactly what i want to do is black out the back. I need to finish getting a load built to see how it is hitting first I think.

I want to use my XDm 40 (4.5) as a poor mans limited gun for a change of pace form my open gun. I want to swap the front sight for sure for a Dawson FO. My question is do I really need to swap the back? if so would the adjustable sights really be worth the extra 40.00.

I am looking at many different options for loosing my old ass Halo sight and either going with a Sig romeo or a Cmore. Looking at the SIg I see one for 299 for either a 1913 rail interface or a key-mod interface and then then one for 399 for the hand gun mounting kit. Is the handgun mounting kit necessary when mounting to a RTS2 mount? Thanks Majja

I am kind of torn on this one. I own a 650, and have used the 550 my cuz had before I got the 650. With the ability to add on the case feeder to the 550 I think I would probably go with the 550. But I do oh-so love my 650. Here is your big question is how many different rifle calibers are you planning some day. I also have a RCBS rock chucker I took over after my grandfather died. That is what i load my 300 win mag on, I did not feel it was worth the cost to tool up the Dillon to load at most a 100 rounds a year. Like wise I load my 22-250 on the single stage as well. On my 650 I currently load 9mm, 38 super, and 45acp. I am going to add 40 S&W and 223 in the very near future and will probably then just do the rest of my rifle stuff on the single stage as the volume is not worth the cost. But buy once cry once and remember Dillon really does support the products forever.

I see that Dillion says that the small pistol shell plate can feed 40's I was wondering which one most of you use the small or the large. I am just finally getting around to ordering mine and reload mostly 9mm and 38 super. I am going to start reloading for the 40 soon so if the small actually does a good job of it I will just order it with the small and be done with it until I start shooting my 45 a lot. Thanks

Well this is Utah, we get a bit damp on occasion but for the most port people around here have no idea what humidity is.

I finally got around to going through a bunch of reloading stuff my grandfather had, that has been put up on a shelf in my garage for years. And there is a brick of primers and various packs of primers in this box. I was wondering are they still good to use most are rifle primers but there are a few packs of lg pistol. My guess is they are from the 80's. Thanks Majja

I do not see much info about the STS2 just the RTS 2. Is it because it is smaller? I am trying to make the hard decision if I want the spend the extra $$ on an STS or RTS, I just knwo I want to get the weight of my halo sight off the gun.

Just curious since I am just getting back into this how was the drop in power factor effected the comp design. I noticed now that most are back to 3 or 4 port comps at most? Just wondering. I am currently loading up some 115's with 3n37 to try in my Nowlin and do a little spring tuning to boot. What weight spring are most of you running on your 38 SC guns?
