I found the Aero Precision EPC-9 receiver set in stock....so of course now I'm looking into that rabbit hole.
The Foxtrot has best Mag position for feeding of any aluminum AR9 Glock lower in my limited experience

Thank you. I guess my dilemma is that I can buy quality, even a JP-5, but just because I can doesn't mean I should. If I can get something that's a fun experience for $1k or around there....then why spend the $3,400 on the JP-5. I'm older and my peak shooting years are behind me. Really though, is where the JP-5 is appealing is for when my young kids shoot with me. I keep looking at the MPX PCC for the soft recoil thinking they would enjoy it.
Oh okay I thought you wanted something inexpensive that could be upgraded later.
MPX is awesome, Taran was using one last time I saw him.
I haven’t been going to matches for a while, maybe things have changed??
I thought he’s building Foxtrot Mikes tricked with hydraulic buffer and better trigger etc.. TR-9?

Oh the rear charger carbine is $652 at Buds with free shipping..so about the same price as a Ruger
-
My vote is for a Foxtrot Mike Glock based carbine but buy the rear charger that uses standard charging handles and has the brake.
put in a Kynshot buffer and upgrade trigger if you get some $.
also Sportsmans.com has Odin Superlight barrels for $51 on clearance you can swap in or roll your own upper

I switched to Kynshot/Blitzkrieg buffer many thousands of rounds ago , 1st of all nylon dpacer was always used in my Colt mag PCC and never broke a catch . I got an FM-9 and am using it without a spacer. Just Blitz buffer and AR-10 spring. Spacing seems good and it functions great

JP Original Fire Control Kit with speed hammer gets my vote

sorry to hear this in a new rifle, but these often need deburring and smoothing of internal edges. Also very sensitive to bullet shape. Mag height should be ok. If it’s not I’d return it.
-
I have one and it’s ok, but more creep and heavier than my old JP full fire control kit which I compare all triggers to. Seems hard to beat a handfit JP still!

PSA for Colt mag here, runs fine after normal tweaks.
Foxtrot Mike for Glock Mags runs great also
-
I have the lower and it has the best mag position for feeding in my opinion.
it even feeds stubby flat points and HP
-
My old Rock River has been running for years, got a spare FP but have never needed it.
oh wait you mean Glock pattern ??

yep this happened to me with Blazer aluminum and the aluminum case seemed welded in place, looked just like a clean chamber. I wasn't too worried about hurting the cheap barrel, so I used a round file ( with forward part safetaped) and it grabbed it and pulled it out. I wouldn't do this on a high dollar barrel or with any more effort except a light stab and pull

no mods to the followers guys? No nosedive jams?? I saw a guy this past Sat with a very nicely tigged 55 rder, and he fabbed the follower from an STI follower.

Chamber brush + polish??

I'm having a heck of a time with the American Defense QD mount for my CMore on an MPX (handle keeps wiggling open every other course of fire even though it's tight), but the sight itself is awesome. Left the MRO on the Tavor (home defense and match backup gun), as the CMore was faster at half the price. The MRO is a much tougher, heavier built red dot, but for matches that's just not an issue.
Haven't had any issues with dot drift, and I've shot it in VERY cold match conditions (just above freezing) and indoor conditions (75) two days later.
I think you can mount this AD QD with lever on either side. But if its on ejection port side the QD lever may want to flip open on recoil.
What side is your QD lever on? If on ejection or right side you may want to flip it

Thanks all, I'm gonna try out the TF..Much appreciate the responses!

seems to me a key point that I missed earlier is the hand should be bladed when coming onto Fire Control from the handguard area, as he does in "MakeReady" Vid. This would have avoided the middle finger dragging and pulling trigger
ETA: Dave Neth blades it also in the above FN Vid

Hello: I do it kinda the same as the video but just switch hands on the hand guard. I also switch shoulders before I get to the shooting position. Another thing to try is shooting weak shoulder but still with your strong hand on the trigger. I have also used strong hand and put the PCC in the middle of my chest to get the shot around a barrier. Practice is the key to anything. Thanks, Eric
Mike Foleys PCC Tips covers this, I'm no master class but I think he transitioned fine, just pushing hard and dragged the middle finger.
Putting the safety on with his weak hand knuckle before transitioning woulda saved his match, but of course shouldn't be relied on.

Is everybody deleting the LRBHO tab on the follower to get these to work? Grind & smooth edges etc?

Unlike the gents above....I can not make the TF extensions work in my old C-Product mags.
So I have been using a 32 and 10 round mag with a Taccom splice. This gives me 45 rounds and has ran flawlessly for thousands or rounds.
I tried this and couldn't get it to work, I couldn't get the spring splice thing to work, even tried the "roll pin method".. Maybe I will try again with a new spring instead of reusing the 2 OE springs

This is for Colt metalform 32 rd mags..
I have a Taccom coupler but would like just about 42 rds, looking for a +10 extension but I hear the TF are no good? Any others out there that work? With/without new spring? Does Bmiller make these?
-
Yep I have a C-more Tactical Railway and just ordered a .50 Riser so I don't have to scrunch down on the stock..
-
Ready Tactical makes some also and CPWSA carries them..

I'm pretty happy with my old school JP Fire Control kit with speed hammer, it has worked 100%..The NEW PCC drop in looks good, hopefully its a better feel than the "EZ". The EZ feels inferior to my old school kit, which they still offer and has always been easy for me to setup.
