  1. I guess you have a Stoeger P3000 and are unknowingly working the action under recoil. 3 inch loads will do that.
  2. Is there a fully rifled barrel AR type shotgun out there? Or maybe a upper or barrel? Or someone who would make one? Thanks, Walt
  3. https://ontelaunee.org/ Club Information, Master Schedule to look for events https://hellertownsportsmen.com/ HSA on Practiscore
  4. I have two M3020s one for me one for my son. They need all the work the M3000s do. Smooth the mag tube and clean up the extractor groove. Mine is an early blued model and I have put over 1k through it. It still has a hiccup every now and then when dirty. I got my son one last fall and it is much better but we don't have that many rounds through it. For the price it isn't bad if you like to tinker. But if you don't look at the Franchi Affinity 20ga. Walt
  5. Have you looked at a Winchester Model 88? Check one out. Walt
  6. Call Stoeger first they may just send it. or I believe the M3500 is the same button. www.gunpartscorp.com go to the Stoeger M3500, page 4 #43 Good Luck, Walt
  7. Seiichi, It takes the Beretta/Benelli Mobil choke tubes. Walt
  8. The first time it happened it knocked some or the "popcorn" stuff off the drywall ceiling. My second occurrence the rod went up through the drop ceiling tile and slightly dented the 3/4 inch plywood sub floor. It is amazing how the plastic rod bent without breaking. I hung the bent rod right at eye level over my bench to remind myself to be smooth and don't force it.
  9. It figures I wouldn't come up with a original thought. So the slight bend is to center the shell on the lifter?
  10. I picked up a M3000 Saturday. I had already ordered a tube from Carbon Arm and double headed safety, charging handle and bolt release from MOA. I’ve watched Jesse’s video on enlarging the port 10 times and I’m looking forward to sending the wife and kids away and spending some quality time with it. One of the things that lead me to the M3000 was that I already had a M3500 for hunting. Looking at the trigger groups side by side they are identical with the exception of the lifter length. Numrich has M3500 lifters for $15.55 plus $6.50 shipping so $22.05. I think I can just cut the thumb peeler off the M3500 lifter, clean it up and drop it into the M3000 for a low cost extended lifter. That beats sending it off for welding for $60 or TTI for $80. Am I crazy or will that work? Thanks, Walt
  11. We are trying to hold matches but our problem is attendance. I think the most we have managed was 6. Last month only 3 showed up and slflr was out with an injury. We have the Sunday after the first Saturday’s USPSA /IDPA match at Peacemaker National Training Center. I plan on having the match if we can drum up some attendees. Come on down! It’s just a curse down I78 to I81 WV exit 5. July 7th is our next scheduled match. Bring a friend, bring someone you don’t really like but can split the gas money. We need shooters! PM me your email address and I’ll add you to the match announcements list. Thanks, Walt
  12. I tore my 650 down last night for a good clean, inspect and lube. She was making a bad noise and while I lube it regularly after almost 20 years of use it must need it. I pulled it all apart cleaned and re-lubed everything and when I put it back together the noise was still there. WTF? With my head down by the link arms and ram I found the source of the sound. The tygon tubing that I used for the spent primer catch mod was sliding on the wire retainer I made and it final wore through the paint. Some electrical tape and it was fixed. No more sound. She is lubed and ready to go, time to crank out those last couple of hundred before the PSA Shootout. Walt
  13. T Bacus, I ROed you Sunday it was like a gum ball machine waiting to see what color hull was ejected. Green, blue, clear and I’m not sure all what else. I gave you Remington Managed Recoil and Fiocchi Low Recoil 7/8 oz slug. I don’t know what the blue ones were. Bang, pop, pop, bang, BOOM, pop, bang, BOOM, it ate it all. Then I was dumb enough to take you up on shooting it. Now I want one! Walt
  14. If you look at my scores you will see I'm not using them but my 9L wears a Dawson adjustable target rear and a 265 FO front. The sight picture matches my STI very close. Walt
  15. I saw the title and couldn't get this out of my head: Vinny: What about these pants I got on? You think they're okay? Ho! Mona Lisa: Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool clear water...bam! A f*****g bullet rips off part of your head! Your brains are laying on the ground in little bloody pieces! Now, I ask ya, would you give a f*** what kind of pants the son-of-a-bitch who shot you was wearing?! Walt
  16. Been there, done that, got the amazingly bent plastic primer follower rod to prove it. 650 and Fed SP100 I keep the rod on the shelf right behind the press to remind me to be smooth. I need to be smooth and when she isn’t being smooth to STOP and give her some TLC (clean and lube) then continue. Walt
  17. Since getting an EGW “U” die for .40 I’ve had no problems. Well until this years PSA Shootout. I loaded up 800 for the match and practice, some where in the match batch a empty 22lr case must have been in with the brass and perfectly impaled itself on the decaping pin preventing the die from sizing all the way down the case. Since I was loading a new bullet and loading on the shorter side of long (for the STI) I didn’t notice the OAL difference. Walt
  18. I just order a new spring and plunger for the “Classic” style front sight on my 627. I went to slip in a new front sight and found the spring had rusted up after 10 plus years and it would not hold the new sight. My question: Is the pin in the front sight tapered? And if so witch way does it come out? Thanks, Walt
  19. 4.7grs for me. YMMV. 4.7 for me too. 97 degree day 167pf. A friend with another 5 inch Springfield needs 4.8. We have swapped ammo and my barrel is consistently faster. Our 627s .357 are the opposite, his is faster than mine. Good Luck, Walt
  20. Let me know if I can help. I didn’t mean to kill ICORE at Summit Point. It would have been just over the river. Walt
