  1. 1. Pistol was received at SA on a Thursday afternoon and was shipped back to me the following Wednesday. 2. I received a replacement slide. Just what I asked for. The slide was unserialized. 3. As my parts were removed from the old slide and before they were placed in the new slide...they were polished. No cost. 4. I received my pistol back BETTER than I sent it in.
  2. My slide just chipped in the same location. E-mail and pictures sent to SA Warranty.
  3. I am biased. I have two 9mm 5.25 XDM's, one .45ACP 4.5 XDM, and one 9mm 3.8 XDM from PRP. I know of five others. The 9mm 5.25 XDM's purchased in 2011-2012 had to have the factory recoil springs replaced immediately. We used Wolff #54218 springs. Guns run flawlessly now.
  4. Been there! I have two 5.25's from PRP and two fellow shooters have another three. The factory recoil springs are TOO short. We replaced them with Wolff springs for a 4.5, Stock N umber 54218. Length difference was about a half inch.....no kidding! No hiccups since then. Shoot your pistol weak hand. If the slide locks back.....your strong hand is riding the slide catch.
  5. I noticed this when pressure was taken off the grip safety during reloads.
  6. I have had the elevation screw shear off multiple times. While competing at the NC Sectional in SSD, it looked like I was fanning a six gun on a 32 round couse. Fixed, Harrison 001's, for me.
  7. I WD-40 some kite string and floss the extractor.
  8. I have shot both in the single stack division. My times and A-C counts are similar. In minor, I lost DOUBLE points.
  9. I dusted my factory rear sight with black spray paint.
  10. We set up two identical classifier stages. One is named "Warm Up" and one is named by the USPSA Software. Unless there is a stage equipment malfunction, you get two runs. We send in the highest HF. We have not had a single complaint.

  12. I have removed the captured recoil system. I have replaced the system with a FLGR and a 13# recoil spring. I am unable to reproduce a dead trigger now.
  13. I have two Pro's. One with a SSS trigger job and one factory. Both had dead triggers. From my experiments, I found +P and +P+ ammo would not cause a dead trigger. I shot 100 rounds weak hand only without an issue! I'm figuring, at this point, the current factory ammo (GA Arms and PMC), that I am using, do not have enough PF.
  14. 9mm Springfield EMP or a custom STI Trojan in .38Super. Fusion Forty in the wings.
  15. Virgil made my Trojan run by re-cutting the ramp and mated a boat load of Cobra mags with it. Fusion Firearms built me a back up gun that rarely gets used. Virgil's gun runs and runs.
  16. I have two Pro's. Both FTE if the gun is slightly limp wristed. I shot the NC Sectional without an issue. I had 3 FTE's at the Chrono. LOL. I'm thinking that it's probably the extractor. For some reason, it skips over. Looking at the SSS hardened extractor. I'm in pause. Continuing to follow this thread.
  17. Search words: (Shims) (M&P Mag) (CR Speed Pouch) (8) Lowe's Toilet Shims, Item Number 247885, are pre-recessed and are ready for a 1/4 inch drill bit. Cost? About two bucks.
  18. I just picked up Pro serial number 190x....
  19. Just a little off topic... I just picked up Pro serial number 190X....Getting closer to 2000!
  20. I have been in contact with Dave via e-mail in the past two weeks.
  21. Mine is on the way. Please do a range report on the C-More. That's my plan too.
  22. Gunbroker dot com. Mine's with FedEx right now...
  23. Take a look at the Safariland 568. I use one for Limited (Edge), SSD (Trojan) and Production (M&P). They are very flexible and custom fit to the gun of your choice. I did a post a while back on a Edge Paddle Holster. It was a $2 mod. A search should bring it up.
  24. My rear sight elevation screw sheared off during a field course at the NC Sectional. Slide goes forward, rear sight pivots, stops perpendicular to the slide, and blocks the front sight. Yikes! Slap down the rear sight with the weak hand, sight back in, pull the trigger....repeat. No Mikes! HaHaHa. From the peanut gallery, it looked like I was fanning a six gun....hahaha. Since this was the second time that this had happened this year, in competition, I have since replaced all my Bomar/STI adjustable sights with Bomar cut fixed sights from Harrison Custom. They have a wider notch and give a great sight picture. http://www.harrisoncustom.com/News.aspx# No more Cowboy Action IPSC for me!!
