Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Ghost makes one for the S2–I would check their website I bet they have on to accommodate the TS with thumb rest as well. If their site wasn’t like operating on dial up I would check for ya—good luck. Honestly though Red Hill is a better brand and I’m sure you’ll get a better price from aanda. That being said I really like my Ghost holster and only have a few minor complaints—If you’re interested in hearing them lemme know. I checked Ghost and the 75TS (I’m assuming you’re using a newer Tac Sport) is the only one that’s enclosed with the thumbrest option.
  2. I just replaced the fiber optic rod in my S2 because it was dimmed with carbon/cleaning solution/oil etc, but when I was putting the new rod in I noticed that my sight post has a little back and forth movement (forward backward, probably a millimeter or two). I doubt it has any effect on my accuracy but I like my parts secure. I’m going to remove and put it back in, but I’m wondering if there is anything I should do to make sure it doesn’t continue to rock like this? 7k through the gun, but all I can think is that I compete with it so it’s in and out of the holster often.
  3. Ok hold on what do I have to file on the sear to make this happen? Lmao
  4. For the life of me I can’t figure out the name of this part. Here’s the photo. On the P-07 it’s the little plastic cylinder the long leg of the decocker lever spring is housed in. Mine came out while I was using the safety, but now that I have the CGW hammer in there the safety only locks in 1/4 cock, and I’d like to go back to the decocker, but right now I just have a big hole where that plastic cylinder should seat and hold the spring, and it’s too low to seat the spring. I’m looking for a name or part number or the bad news that I’m SOL.
  5. https://primarymachine.com/shadow-2-harbinger-v1-drop-in-slide/ I have seen a lot of people asking about these and saying they’re never around (myself included). Looks like PM has them in stock now.
  6. I have had mine in for about 1000 rds and checked it. Completely mangled. I’m going back to stock for now and ordering the EG from Stoeger shop. I had never thought this would be a part I’d need to keep an eye on (like the trigger return spring) so I’m very glad I saw this.
  7. I think that was a typo as the other example was saying you wouldn’t compete in open with a P series. I thought the same thing though.
  8. Hey Everyone, For about 1000 rds after the fitting the trigger reset perfectly, but now I’m getting a number of failures. I can easily take more off the disco, but I was wondering if there’s anything else that could be messing with my reset? The trigger was pretty gunked up and I hadn’t removed the trigger assembly yet (because of the flared pin), but I went ahead and cleaned that off. I haven’t had a chance to check, but I’m wondering if I should just remove a little more from the disconnector before I head to the farm to test? Thanks
  9. Dot40 will not do it. So I’m going to try to do it myself if anyone has any idea about what I need to grind off or file.
  10. I accidentally ordered the wrong Eemann slide stop for my S2. At $90 bucks this isn’t easy to replace and I’m not sure if Dot40 will do it. Does anyone know where I may need to grind/file/polish to make it work in the event they don’t swap it for me?
  11. Hey Shaw stupid question maybe but what’s a 1050?
  12. Actually there’s one for sale right here precut for plate. Very interesting because it is a rare find. Also of note is that at that price point you could purchase the S2 and have a gunsmith mill it for a plate for potentially less than the list price. https://czgunstore.com/cz-shadow-2-optics-ready/ I spoke with a gunsmith at CGW about a similar predicament: I own an SP-01 (not a Shadow 1) and I had asked about whether I could get as much performance by fully upgrading that pistol as I would out of an S2 with polish and some minor upgrades. Basically he said that neither is a bad option, but that in his opinion (see image): Comes down to personal preference but he basically said the Shadow 2 is worth the money.
  13. In case anyone was wondering I got this done! Appreciate everyone’s input. I ended up taking the OT screw out as well. Love working on this gun so now I’m just figuring out what to do next.
  14. George: Thanks for the tip on the OT screw I actually haven’t adjusted that at all. I’m debating pulling it out altogether. Squirrel: Yeah I figured it would probably just be trial and error with live fire…oh well I’m getting VERY familiar with the gun.
  15. Good Morning, Usually a silent reader on the forum, but I’m having trouble finding some information and I’m hoping someone can help. I dropped a T5 disco into my Shadow 2 and the SA isn’t resetting. I did enough reading here to determine that I needed to take some material off of the CGW disco. Round one I went minimal and used 1k sandpaper. This DIDNT work as I’m sure any of would have told me, but I was nervous about taking too much off. Called Thomas at CGW and he said to use a diamond grit file. This time I took quite a bit off—got it pretty much flat. At this point I tested the SA at home by cocking the pistol and pulling the trigger. It reset, but there was no way to test an actual cycle so I went back to the range. Failure to reset in SA in the firing cycle. So now I’m back home—taking off some more. I have a theoretical way of testing this without dropping $20 to go to the range, but I’m not sure if it’s viable. If I pull the trigger, hold it, cock it, and then release the trigger I do get a reset. My question is: is this the best way to test this outside of driving to the range and shooting it? Like is this a valid test? I’ve now dropped $60 at the range firing a total of 10 rounds (lol), and would prefer to be pretty certain before I go back. Also have a 11.5# hammer spring and 11# recoil spring—these wouldn’t have any effect on the not resetting in SA would they? The only reason I ask is because the trigger works when I cock the pistol (SA) but not on the cycle? It also functions if I brass check after a cycle. I apologize for any bad terminology here this is the first pistol that I’ve actually worked on myself so I’m still learning these terms.
