  1. I haven’t had any issues so far using SRP for 9mms.
  2. Work on healing the right elbow. You don’t need to re-train using your left side to build muscle memory and coordination. You’ll spend more time and money developing that skill rather than working on the right elbow tendinitis. Start strengthening and stretching the muscles (if range is limited) that attach to the lateral side of the elbow when inflammation subsides. There are a lot of articles on the internet.
  3. Thank god for you tube! It’s easier to set up and follow instructions on how to trouble shoot if you are actually watching how to fix any hiccups when reloading. It’s fast, convenient, and practical.
  4. Apply for a CC that offers interest free for at least 18 mos. Then, work extra hours to cover payment before term ends.
  5. I recently sold my RL550 on eBay at a good price.
  6. Thank you for all the info in this thread. I have an old chrono which uses a card board with a small hole to shoot through that I am using for pistol round and occasional airsoft for my son. It reads pretty accurately but the card board has seen better days. I might try my hands on the labradar. Time to start saving.
  7. This site has primers. Steep price but that’s the going price now a days. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/in-stock-primers-for-sale-c-2806.aspx In the end, you’ll end up saving a lot when you do your own reload.
  8. About a year ago I found an unsealed 12 lb keg of 700-X in original old looking can that has surface rust. I believe it is more than 30 yrs old. I tested and chronoed it and fortunately I was getting consistent reading.. I found the attached article useful when buying old powder. https://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/how-to-determine-gunpowder-shelf-life/83922
  9. This online store has SPP, LPP, and SRP. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/in-stock-primers-for-sale-c-2806.aspx
  10. An old sewing machine frame might be sturdy enough if space is limited.
  11. I have finally gotten the chance to try and take the screws off last night. It’s been busy the past couple of weeks. First thing I realized, the screws are actually torx plus and not the regular torx screw. It came off easily after applying torch heat. I tried soldering iron at first but it didn’t work. Thank you for all your responses.
  12. I’ve re-checked the screws and it’s definitely a Torx type. Looks like the scope mount had been previously replaced. Thank you for all the replies. I ordered a new set of torx screws with screw wrench last Friday from Shootesconnection. If it doesn’t work, I’ll try the impact wrench.
  13. Hi, I’m trying to install a thumbrest on my pistol but I can’t seem to unscrew the torx screws on the scope mount. I used a soldering iron to heat and loosen the loctite but the two T10 size torx bits that I was using broke. I guess I needed to heat it up some more. I’ve observed that the T10 bit size is not a snug fit and has a lot of play and I was concerned that It will deform the screw head. The T15 size doesn’t fit as well and was too big. I’ve search the internet and I can’t find bit sizes between T10 and T15. I need your suggestions on the best way and tools to use to remove the torx screw from the the scope mount. Thanks in advance.
  14. Thanks for the inputs. I am using a Titegroup. I’ll try to get hold of a N320. I’ve read that the N320 burns clean too.
  15. I’ve just started reloading. I’ve tried Hi-Teck coated 125gr and just ordered 147gr. Please share your experience with different bullet gr. and your preferred weight and brand. Thanks!
  16. Newbie here. What is the best bullet gr. for softer recoil and less red dot displacement?
  17. They have discounts for bulk orders. https://thebluebullets.com/sponsorship-discounts/#row1
  18. It’s pricey but it will keep my pistol going. This will definitely a best option.
  19. Please share any information where to buy replacement of a cracked DVC compensator/barrel. Mine is good so far. I’m just planning ahead in case I’ll need it replaced soon. STI has stopped honoring their lifetime warranty so I need to source out. Thanks.
  20. Thanks to OP and everyone who responded. I learned a lot from this thread.
