Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I had a great time. it was my first 3 gun and am glad we are going to make it a quarterly thing. Great job with the stages, i enjoyed them, especially the shotgun stages!
  2. The scores were posted at 1530. Most of the shooting was done by 1430 but there were a few stragglers. I left after i won an airsoft pistol in the bucket raffle. That was about 4. My guess is everything is done by now.
  3. I couldnt have said it better. you guys give alot of credit to the staff. But think of what it took to actually shoot this match. My hat is off to the shooters....those that stuck it out. Robert put at LEAST 500 hrs into this match by himself. He had Steve Minsek to help out quite a bit. His normal clan in wichita falls had other commitments this year and that left most, if not all the work to only 2 dudes.....Porter and Steve Minsik. These 2 made this match possibe!!!! Especially Porter. And what a match it was. You guys and gals who stuck it out and shot the match......you have earned my respect. I was one of the RO's on stage 2. Yea the weather sucked ass. but no one complained, no one whined about setting new targets, etc. I have a lot of hobbies.....now this one is on top due to the caliber of people who make this a great sport. The Double Tap Championship 2009 will be ingrained into at least 300 shooters memories for a life time. That is what its all about. If you were one of the 300 plus to shoot this outstanding match, you have a story to tell generations to follow. Spread the word. This is a great sport!!!! You gals and guys made this match great....and a lasting memory!.....THANKS! See you next year!!!! Jim
  4. I have actually caught and released 3 in the past year. They're harmless Are you the guy that told Kay that at the shoot in LA? Wasnt me, but i was refering to the Texas Brown Racer (snakes) not Black Widows. Obviousy the widow can cause problems
  5. I have actually caught and released 3 in the past year. They're harmless
  6. Just purchased a DPMS in .308 and would like to reload using my 550b press. I have loaded for various rifle calibers in the past but only on a single stage press. Is the 550 a viable option for loading .308. Do not have dies or caliber conversion. What dies are recommended or will lee dies suffice. Currently load for numerous pistol calibers on the 550b but not quite sure where to start for loading the 308. Any help would be appreciated
  7. Give Mike Caylor (caylorcustomguns.com) a look. He built me an outstanding piece in a little under 2 months, and is a bit cheaper than some others. I have been very happy, especially with his service
  8. Do not order anything from Botac, they absolutely suck
  9. Will be getting my new open blaster in 9mm major from Caylor custom guns is a couple of weeks. Got lots of data from this forum for loads, but cant find zero 125 JHP easily. Is it ok to use zero 125 gr FMJ? Gun will be a shorty with no blow holes. Plan on using HS-6, 3n-37, true blue and power pistol for load development. Thanks.
  10. Shot this last week at Indian territory in Duke Oklahoma. My second match in USPSA. Shot it in 9.26 sec, dropped 4 points for a total of 56. Dont know where this stands for classification since it is my first classifier. Shot limited with a glock 20 10mm.
  11. To all you guys and gals who are attending the '06 Double Tap, you wont be dissappointed. Even though I have not yet competed I was thouroughly impressed with the thought and design of the courses we set up. Scorch has spent countless hours putting together a top notch competition. All you competitors should have a blast (so to speak).
