I've had a RedDot fail during a COF and had to just backups. Was a Boy Scout, always have a back up plan.

I just got a new Canik SFX Rival (Poly) and plan on using it for USPSA comp. I put a Leupold Deltapoint Pro w/ their rear sight on it and am very happy with the way it shoot but I need to change out the front sight with something higher for backups. From what I can find the front sight is different from the Matte series and I haven't been able to find any aftermarket replacements. Dose anyone have experience with a similar setup or know what tall/suppressor height sights might be compatible? Thanks for any responses.

@erwos Call DAA - they will prob send you a new one and I think the 2.0 version uses a meatal plunger and that will cut down more on Splash issue (I still use the straw method and have been most successful with that and further adjusting my magnet and sensitivity. Get me squib and DC alerts and very few of the interruption stroke beeps.

The RL1100 is running very smooth now: Thank you all for the tips, no more issues with MBF upside down drops (1/200) - I'll just keep a eye on them for now and dump the stack if I see any. Did the Upgrades - Added: DAA MBF Tension Spring - and re-adjusted it Fixed the DAA Mag Powder check - *Used a straw Starlight LED lamp 3.5mm Borescope (replaced the first one) *Using One-Shot lube (shake the bag and dry) First 50rds shot real light, didn't bother to Chrono them (didn't have one) >> Loads set for testing: 9mm: 115Gr FMJ RN Berrey's CCI 500 (SPP) Hodgdon CFE Pistol #1 - 4.85 Gr #2 - 5.2 Gr #3 - 5.4 Gr I'll be back with some range data.

Thanks - The cases aren't lubed, I see it isn't needed for 9mm but I don't know whats normal. I'm using the DAA powder insert for the pour/flare. I feel like my flare is really good (may be able to back off a bit if the springs on the Dropper help with the double drops. Thank you for the MBF tips, I'll be trying them out soon. Thank you for the feedback - I hope to be able to work out all these things and attribute them right now to the learning inherent curve. I'll get some more pics/vids tomorrow

I found a solution to my issue in another thread - figured I'd share here. Simple, I used a normal drinking staw ~1" cut to length between the plastic pistol collet and the magnetic weight on the powder check rod. This drastically reduces the overall movement of the rod and still allows it to pickup double and squib charges. Simple really, DAA should have this in the FAQ's Below is a picture.

@Sigarmsp226 Any chance you'd be able to post a pic of your set up from both sides? My Mag check was a issue from opening it - the plastic pistol insert was malformed and DAA asked me to use a file to open it up... @dwbsig - I'm new on the RL1100 but when setting it up it didn't seem to have much room to rotate due to the powder reset bar, anyone have a comment on that part of it as well? rotating the powder measure was a though but I dont want the reset bar binding up.

Good Day All, I have my RL1100 setup finally in 9mm with DAA Mag check in Station 6 right after the powder drop just like in this setup - https://ultimatereloader.com/2020/10/05/warp-speed-loading-9mm-on-the-dillon-rl-1100-with-mr-bullet-feeder/ Issue: The Magnet on the DAA check seams to be so close to the powder measure housing that it is interfering with movement of the sensor rod. Essentially it functions but 1 is slow to reset, drop with gravity, and actually holds itself above a full reset. Has anyone else experienced this or have thoughts to do anything about it The 1st image shows with the bar at full reset The 2nd image shows where it 'naturally' is resetting to The 3rd image shows the proximity to the powder measure I don't really think any of these can be moved and you can't shield magnetism so what should I do?

Well I have finally opened and setup my new RL-1100. As my first machine I'm trying to be very diligent about setting each part up. I know its not recommended but I've gone all our and have the MBF added and will setup the powder check once adjusted. Q - Did anyone else using the MBF use their provided funnel? I've removed the Dillon powder funnel, Dillon Seat and Dillon Crimp dies. The way the RL-1100 actuates I can't see the powder funnel when the press if fully actuated. I'll post some pics soon for feedback Do most people just reuse brass when setting up to check all their die depths?

@Tom Freeman @ChadJamesR This is encouraging - Please post pics and info when you get them setup. I'm surprised at the lack of updated photo's/vids of people as the RL1100's are the current hot ticket and we know they're getting out there. Still won't do me any good to get it sooner (Haven't found 1 box of primers yet)but I look for updates ever day.

Yea I have a order of about 10k in with them, will update when I get and test it. They said March. Every time I call I talk with Jill there

Good Evening all - I'm new to progressive reloading and am working to create a setup very close to Gavin Toobe's setup on "WARP SPEED! Loading 9mm on the Dillon RL 1100 with Mr. Bullet Feeder" see here My question is - In station 3 he states he's using a Swager (with hold-down) die, which one is it? Or which one would you recommend for SPP (link please)? I will eventually be doing 45 ACP and .223 so will need to clean other pockets as well but I'm most concerned with the initial setup. Any thoughts or suggestions here? Thanks

I've also got about 10k coming in from them in 3 batched March - Sept Will post when I get anything - had the same experience talking to them in person. Credit Card purchase is protected for 12mo so I'm not to worried about it. Fingers crossed

reduced surface area for static contact/pickup I'm guessing?
