Howdy from South Texas. Been lurking for a while, but decided to start getting more engaged.

Looking for recommendations for best place to find optic plates in stock. Any help is appreciated.

The Timney trigger makes a world of difference. Light. I did get some doubles from it on occasion.

They are fun. Is there a need for any other reason?

Costs are up on everything. Hoped USPSA wouldn’t be joining in on the price gorging.

I run STI mags in the SPS. They run great!

When I started USPSA in 2008, the local Club match fees are basically the same ($15 - $20) or $5 more at a few clubs today. As a club USPSA president myself, I had to increase our fee's $5 this year to offset the never ending increase in consumables (Targets, Tape, Paint, Prop Maintenance, etc) as well as the Credit Card processing fee's associated with online registration payments.
When I raised the entry fee $5 ($20 > $25) it was alarming how many "Butt Hurt", "Don't Understand why you are Gouging us", "You are just trying to take advantage of the situation" emails, texts and in person bitching whiners I had to deal with. I tried to explain to each of them that NOTHING has gone DOWN in price since the club was established in the year 2000, so why on earth would the entry fee not increase a little to account for these expense increases? Grown adults literally throwing a fit over $5.
I also don't get the logic of a person with a $5000 gun on their hip is whining about paying an extra $5 to use said gun in the match. That same shooter will spend more in GAS driving to and from the range to attend the match than what the entry fee is. They will consume more $$$ in ammo shot during the match than the entry fee. But pointing out these facts to put it into perspective somehow doesn't make sense to these people.
Because of those expenses mentioned (that have all gone up substantially), finding savings where we can (ie match fees) is important.

You would think OKC would be if enough

How was the shoot this year (2022)?

With the timney trigger, the scorpion is a whole different gun

Syntech 150 required cleaning gas port often if want to run reliably.
I have a question in this similar vain, what is best method for cleaning comp. that thing is starting to get a lot of build up.
-
You don’t need a holster for steel challenge.

The syntech 150 is the only ammo that I have had issues with. N=1, but wanted to add to the conversation.

Don’t get me started on soccer. Coached his team this year. Eight little 7 yr olds running around. Talk about exercise in patience. Lots of fun though and good exercise with the kids.

All good points. He is still too young for competition, but enjoys taking pictures of the wildlife and helping in the hunt.
Next year we start 4-H shooting

Lately have had to choose between completions and hunting. My son is just getting the age where that is fun together. How about y’all? Anyone else have to deal with this?
