  1. Too much Lemishine will react negatively with the zinc alloy in the brass casing. It causes a chemical detrimental reaction with the zinc in the brass. You will literally weaken the strength of your brass casings if you use too much of that product. The "pink" color you see on the brass is a teltale sign of chemical damage to your casings. I use one teaspoon of that product per one gallon of distilled water. I wouldn't use more than that.

    45 ACP help

I would suggest removing and cleaning your barrel. Then coat your loaded round with black felt pen or Dykem. Drop that loaded round into the chamber and see where it's htting in the chamber. Shiny spots appear on the loaded round in all the tight areas where the round hits the inside of the barrel chamber or rifling. I had that same issue a while back.
  3. I've been experimenting with 9X23 brass shortened to 9mm Parabellum. It's far more durable and definitely withstands the 9X19 major powerfactor requirement and produces far less case bulging and splitting issues. I also tried modified rare 9X25 brass that I bought cheap at a garage sale, and that stuff is also extremely tough, even when over-charged.
  4. I don't use those horrible Blue bullets anymore. They are inaccurate in my guns, over-priced, and they lead up my PCC comps terribly. And as a personal health side note - I don't like using a coated bullet product that contains PTFE Dupont® Teflon in it, which when exposed to a super hot burning powder charge, emits known carcinogenic toxic particulates into the atmosphere that people breathe from the muzzle smoke, especially in my local indoor public range where there is little to no ventilation. As someone else already stated, there is a proven good reason why governments banned Teflon coatings for use on food preparation cookwares.
  5. I can tell you for a fact that as a general rule the longest possible OAL will make for more accurate group size and lower cartridge pressures, which in turn saves brass life, and will also allow larger powder charge weights. A longer OAL will also contribute to cleaner chamber throats when using coated bullets in pistols in extended shooting sessions.
  6. Not really a "blanket statement" but more of a general rule on OAL.
  7. I think that's a bit drastic and malicious to ban a shooter for that. Those kinds of people should be required to attend and show proof of professional firearms training before attending future participation at any public shooting event My neighbor is a police officer who shoots on his own property and doesn't even exude the brain power and common sense to keep his bullet projectiles on his own property instead of into the side of my house and through my parked vehicles. And that incompetent idiot carries a loaded firearm in public and has the powers to arrest and kill someone if required to.
  8. Seating depth has a HUGE affect on group size. I found that out by simple experimentation. You wana go as long as possible at all times.
  9. I just got 40 lbs of 1945 era military surplus pistol powder so I can run 125gr J-Ames bullets. Best weight for accuracy from what I can afford and super clean in my PCC. One hole drillers in my Glocks and Leadstar PCC's. I would buy their 147 rnfp ones that are even more accurate but I can't afford the higher priced ones. I got lucky and bought two months ago when they had more for everyone. It appears they cranked up mass production lately but mostly only to law enforcement agency contracts and most of their bullets go there, and less go to civilians is what I'm hearing at the range.
  10. Too bad they stopped making/selling delrin horseshoe locking extended base pads to go with their springs

    glock 44 .22

I just can' believe people actually buy those. I should've done my homework before buying one. Even 22 plinkster was not happy with that gun, Bad reviews - and for good reason too. They just don't run ammo well. And that what appears to be homeland china manufactured cheaply made top end slide...don't get me started.....
  12. I don't like em. They remind me of the old para tube parts from brownell's that I think metgar made. Lips are too flimsy and distort easily. You have to have a lip forming tool to reshape them. God forbid you drop one in a three gun match.....you'll be so pissed
  13. Been thinking about that same thing myself since I got into shooting. I went to their website and started drooling ...quite pricey tho...
  14. It sounds like you may have debris caught under the extractor or your rounds have a low powerfactor.
  15. I see old farts doing it pretty regular
  16. I just put in my sixth or seventh order on their website. Been having good luck with the 9mm 115's and 40 cal bullets. They now accept credit card payments! And apparently they are shipping bigger amounts now, they approved my larger order for 7,000. Damn pandemic! finally things back to normal! Got a confirmation will ship in 10 days yippee
  17. Yes, they will work great. As long as you trim down your brass case length .010 shorter they will work great. I've shot thousands of them with no problems. Hammer spring needs to be at least 18 lbs
  18. They don't clean well at all. Only loose stuff. You need some solvent and a bronze bore brush to do a real cleaning
  19. That's a great company. They were the only company that had the bushnell sight I wanted and was 10 bucks cheaper. The sight was shipped with a plastic insert into the battery slot so the battery was loose in there and th dot kept shutting off everytime I took a shot. Luckily I just changed out the battery and that fixed the problem optics planet said to just ship it back if i had any problems with it, but luckily the new battery thickness is what fixed the problem so all is well.
  20. I just ordered from J-Ames they said shipping is about 8-14 days right now. I ordered 10K rounds of rimfire from academy so I got plenty to shoot with in the mean time Lol
  21. I think those were the purple ones I bought? the 9mm flat nose 147's. I did not like them too much leading and the coating is weak seems to burn off and smells like that mexico rimfire ammo smell like burning down an old shed. i won't buy more of those
  22. I just got into that so I bought a ruger mark 2 old but better w no magazine safety junk. I shortened the barrel to 3" and installed a steel comp. the thing runs great. pain in the a$$ to take apart and clean though
  23. It's matte bright nickel electroplated over a abrasive blasted surface
