  1. Our local shop has H4350 for $43 a pound.
  2. Well, I guess that pretty well answers my question, thanks guys!
  3. I shot at one club that says due to the recent rule changes, we can now reload once our magazine is empty but we still have a round in the chamber. We are dropping an empty magazine but we are not at slide lock. Another club said, nope, you have to be at slide lock with the magazine empty before you can reload. If the description of the scenario does not say "reload at slide lock, can we reload with a round in the chamber? I didn't think there was much difference, but after reloading a few times with a round in the chamber I really like doing it that way, where the situation fits. Opinions?
  4. I have shot thousands of Winchester SR primers through my Glock and Sig320 9mm and never had a problem. I believe the CCI may have a harder cup though. Good luck.
  5. Thanks everyone for your input and load data, it's a great help.
  6. Well, my box of 9mm 135 gr arrived so it was straight to the loading bench. I saw on the Blue Bullets web site they listed the starting load for W231 at 3.6 so that’s what I tried. When the first round came off the trusty old Star Reloader I checked the length and it was 1.150 which is the COL they listed on their data. Then to the range with the Sig X5 Legion. I found this load to be pretty light but the gun functioned fine. From the bench at 25 yards the accuracy was far better than I expected, 1 5/8” except for one flier. Will have to run this again to be sure it was not just luck. Hopefully next week I’ll be able to run some of the bullets through my Glock 34 and see what it does. I know a lot of shooters have been using these bullets, but I must have been “asleep at the switch” on this one. So far, so good.
  7. Has anyone tried the 135gr. Blue Bullets? I've been thinking of giving them a try to see how they compare with the 125 and 147. While at an IDPA match another shooter said these were his favorite bullets but I didn't get a chance to talk to him long enough to find out why. I usually load WW231 powder but do have some Bullseye and Titegroup on hand. Just interested to see what others think.
  8. I have a Gen5, 34, that I put an uncaptured stainless steel guide rod in with a 15# spring. The factory is a 17# captured spring. I called Glock and they told me the original guide rod and spring are good for 8,000-10,000 rounds, I have over 12,000 through the gun so I ordered the new one from the Glock Store. Works fine.
  9. Would you believe the local farm store (Rural King) has the Sig 320 X5 Legion on sale for $899.00? Not sure what the regular price was. Sig Sauer P320 X5 Legion 9MM 320X5-9-LEGION : RK Guns
  10. Another vote for replacing the recoil spring.

    Staccato C2

It may take a while to save up $5300!
  12. I ordered my trigger straight from Timney, then they said it would take weeks to get. I checked with Midwayusa and they said I would have it in three days. I called Timney back and cancelled the order and got one from Midway. I just checked the Midwayusa web site, the Gen 5 are out of stock but the others are available.
  13. Just got a call from Zero Bullet Co, they are shipping my order today from December 4, 2020. Looks like there is hope!
  14. I've used a lot of different makes of dies, but it is hard to go wrong with Redding or RCBS.
  15. Well, the shoot was pretty good but no powerball numbers!
  16. Hmmm, OK, I just checked the Outdoor Channel schedule again and this is what they show. If the match is in October this may be last years match. Thanks.
  17. According to the schedule, the 2021 USPSA Racegun Nationals will be on the Outdoor Channel at 9pm Eastern time today (Wednesday, May 26). Just for your info.
  18. I got tired of trying to find VV at a reasonable price. I also like W231 so I picked up an eight pound jug yesterday for $158.00. That should last me two-three years.

    I Need Some Loctite

Interesting! I never heard of this stuff, but from what I've been able to find on the Internet, it sounds pretty good. Actually, this may be what is on the screws when it came from Sig. I called Sig and they are sending me two new screws with the stuff on them. Will see how they work out first. Thanks!

    I Need Some Loctite

I have a Sig 320X5 Legion that I can't keep the rear sight tight. That is, the assembly that holds the rear sight and can be removed for optics, keeps coming lose. It is held on by two allen screws that you can reach through the bottom of the slide and those two screws keep coming loose. I mean, like 50 shots and it is rattling all over the place. There is a very small amount of adhesive that is either blue or green on the threads of the screws but they are doing nothing to hold the screws in place. Which locktite can I use to hold these screws without cementing them in place for the life of the gun? I may want to put optics on this gun someday. Thanks.
  21. Crap, you're right, I put the wrong date. I changed it....thanks. Cool, maybe you will be on TV!
  22. I was just looking at the schedule for the Outdoor Channel. On Wednesday, April 28th at 9PM Eastern time, they are having the 2021 Florida State IDPA Championship on. Should be interesting if you like IDPA.
