OK, I found it. It was in the match program.

While looking around at the results of the recent 2024 Florida IDPA match I found a site that showed all the set ups for the match. They looked great but when I went back to look at them again I couldn't find them. They were all in color and beautifully designed, all 13 stages. Anyone know where I can find these again? Dumb me didn't save the link and I've been all over the net looking. Thanks!

This.......which is why I was surprised to see it was a Shadow 2. The just guy shoots for fun and is not really wrapped up in IDPA, and the club just likes to see people come out to shoot so no one cares.

Well, the guy with this CZ showed up again at our Thursday practice and I got a good look at it. Turns out it was a Shadow 2 that he changed the grips on and had the slide milled for the red dot. Thanks for the ideas and help, it's appreciated.

While at an IDPA practice match this week, I had a chance to talk to a guy that was shooting a CZ with a red dot on it. After the match he let me shoot his gun so we put up an old target at 15-20 yards. I fired 10 rounds offhand at the head and most of the rounds were touching each other! This gun shot great! I thought most the CZs were too heavy for IDPA, although this gun did not have the orange or blue grips on it, I believe they were black and it had a steel frame. He said he paid around $1200 for it without the dot. Anyone have any idea which model this was? I'm not looking for a CO gun but one to shoot with open sights. I know, I should have asked him but I didn't think there would be a problem picking one out on the Internet. Thanks.

I know that primers have been hard to find and understand why everyone uses them.
All I can say is on some minor loads the primer cup will not have enough pressure to seal between it and the case, and the gas will start eroding some breech faces. The cups on the small rifle primers have to handle +60,000 PSI in the rifles, and are tougher than the pistol cups.
If your combo is not pitting your breechface then go for it. I know lots of people shooting major .40 have used small rifle for years in their open guns and major loads with no issues.
Also, loading the brass 20+ times increases the size of the primer pocket which allows gas to escape and burn the face of the slide.

I got my gun back from Sig yesterday with a copy of the service order included. Under the "Gunsmith Comments" they listed the following.
Firearm Inspection: Found striker spring coiled over itself, small cloth debris in striker channel.
Worked performed: Corrected striker spring and removed debris.
Tested: Firearm passed all function tests and functions as designed. Fired with no failures.
Ammo fired: 17 rds Sig 124fmj, 17rds Winchester 147fmj.
"Striker spring coiled over itself?" Never heard of that one, will have to check that every once in a while. Maybe keep and extra spring on hand.
While there is no mention of it, the extractor may have been replaced also. This gun has thousands of rounds through it and I've cleaned it dozens of times. The extractor the gun came back with does not have a single wear mark on it. Just a guess. Took the gun out and put 50 rounds through it. Worked fine, problem solved.

I'm almost to the opinion, like most of you, that it is more of a primer seating problem. What threw me though is when I had a miss fire with CCI Factory ammo. I load on a Star Progressive so it is no problem to adjust the primmer seating a little deeper.

Been shooting this gun for the last two days and started to have misfires. I had tried some new Winchester primers in my reloads and at first I thought this was the problem. Then I loaded a magazine with factory and the same thing, about 30% misfires. All were light hits on the primer. Took the gun home and seriously cleaned the firing pin channel in the slide and the firing pin group. Tried a magazine of factory and same thing, misfires because of light hits. Tried my reloads in a Glock 34 and they fired perfectly. Called Sig and they send the gun back to them to be checked. I was told the firing pin spring should last 5000 rounds, which is about what the gun has through it. Has anyone else had this problem with a 320, and does anyone carry an extra firing pin spring with them? Or what else could it be? The chamber was clean and you could drop a round in the barrel and hear it seat so it wasn't a dirty chamber. I didn't expect to have a problem like this with the X5 Legion.

In the winter I go to Florida for four or five months and shoot IDPA down there. If you haven't been to Florida, it is sand, sand and more sand. You cry when you have to reload and drop a mag. All I have had to do with my X5 is wipe off the outside of the mag and reload them, poof, you are good to go, no problems. I do give them a quick cleaning when I get home.

I really like N320. I load 4.3Gr under a Zero 115 conical HP and get great accuracy out of my Sig X5. N320 is a great powder.

By far, my favorite is the Zero 115 gr conical HP. Problem is, they just had a tremendous price increase. With good brass, and 4.3 Gr of N320 I get very good accuracy.

Well, I was thinking about giving this gun a try for IDPA, but I don't need to buy problems, it's off the list!

I just saw there was a carry optics match there this week. I was shooting IDPA at Ashland Lake Gun Club and no one knew anything about the shoot Cardinal just had. Great facility and location, I'll have to keep watching for upcoming matches there.

I have not had a problem with them on my Star Reloader, but I would prefer not to use them due to the small flash hole.

Will let you know soon. Just received 2000 9mm, 135 Gr Match Winners. Thought I would try the 135 and see if I can get the best of 124 and 147. Not holding my breath on that one, but did like the 135 Blue Bullets.
