Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for all the recommendations. Will give me some good reading material after tomorrow's business extension deadline. I'm certainly a believer of the "Buy Once, Buy Right (or Cry Once)" philosophy, so would rather get something that can last should I desire to keep moving forward with this (which will probably happen, especially as ammo becomes available again). My only (sorta) issue has been finding stuff specifically for the X5 Legion, but it's becoming more popular so should be available for all I need.
  2. I have a Legion X5 to test the waters in all of this. I truly, truly love it, especially with the DPP installed. Haven't made any other changes yet, but making notes on items above to do over time, and I figure out wtf I'm actually doing! Good luck!
  3. Sighted in my DPP with Win 124gr NATOs, just picked up 1k more, I prefer it over the various Rem/Win 115gr through the gun so far. Once ammo becomes available again, looking forward to trying out other more match-grade rounds.
  4. Was referred here from Texas Gun Talk forum, looking forward to learning a lot. Hoping to venture into USPSA and similar events as a hobby, once tax season(s) are over. My wife no longer thinks it's "cool" to be 38 (almost 39) and in a band on the weekends, and I don't have enough money to go race GT3 Porsches (yet), so this makes way more sense. Acquired a Sig Sauer P320 Legion X5 and Leupold Delta Point Pro red dot combo, and it's pretty amazing to me. Am a Sig veteran and have numerous P228 and P226 models, also a P365 XL I just got this week, NIB, from someone willing to take the hit on sales tax and a non-store sale. Win for me. Am looking at the Comp-Tac International holster as it's one of the few fitting an X5 Legion, but curious about what others use for a dual-magazine belt pouch/holster (OWB), tacti-cool belt, etc. others use and have set up. Will be using the search function aggressively here. Looking forward to learning a lot about this fun sport.
  5. Installed my DPP on my Legion X5 about a month ago. 500~ rounds thru it so far, no issues. This is a range-only setup, so I manually turn it on/off with every use, so assume battery life will be good. It actually took me a while to zero. Windage wasn't too bad, but drop took forever. Should have been more judicious with the adjustments but it's my first pistol optic zero experience, so good to go now. Makes big holes. Zeroed at 10. Works like a dream.
  6. Just picked up a NIB two-tone 365XL for EDC (LTC is finally in the mail). I definitely want something non-Kydex also, plan to go leather or suede as am in my own office most all day every day, so I just have my pistol 'accessible', but unsure I want to appendix carry, or maybe even small of my back. Which, I think I'd need a left-hand holster if I want to draw right, with an IWB configuration...? So much to work out! Btw, hey everyone. Was referred here from Texas Gun Talk forum, as I'm looking into 'action shooting'/USPSA with my Sig Legion X5 and need recommendations for that whole getup (holster, mag holster, belt, etc.). Lots of info to sort through.
