I believe this thread may be a good indicator why PCSL will eventually become more popular than USPSA.

I think the competitors in 9mm minor divisions shouldn’t fret about all the awesome fun the Open Major guys are having. Leave Open alone.

I believe there will always be a segment of shooters with expendable income who want to push the limits of tech and performance. Open will never die.

I got a case of the 124 JHP V2 ordered on 1/8/2024. So far it's "still processing." I don't know what that means...

I've shot MG 124 JHP exclusively for the last three years but today was the day I gave up on them and switched to PD 124 JHP V2. Just ordered a case to try. MG 124 JHP haven't been in stock for 25 weeks according to my bot. I've been holding out as long as I could because I like them as do my three Open guns. I ran out of projectiles last night...first time ever.

Not in my experience. My first PCSL 2 gun match my Infinity hit the dirt when I took off running with my rifle. Got DQ'd for the stage.

My Bullesteros cracked a frame rail at Area 5 this year and Bul Armory gave me a brand new 2023 model gratis. I was past warranty. Very pleased.

I own two Bul Open guns. I use a Bullesteros as my primary and a URF as my backup. My logic when I bought them was "for $8000 I can get TWO guns so I have backup if one goes down for the price of one Infinity." That scenario is currently in play as my Bullesteros had a catastrophic failure at Area 5 this year (cracked frame rail). Bul only has a 1 year warranty on their guns. Even though my gun was "2 months over" warranty they agreed to service it for me. It's currently at their USA division being evaluated (no word yet). I don't think it's unreasonable to expect even a $4800 Open gun not to suffer a cracked frame rail after 10,000 rounds so I hope Bul "makes me whole." Maybe I'm wrong. Bul no longer offers the steel grips on their OPEN gun due to problems in their two part design. Polymer only. Keep that in mind if it's an issue. I love the way my Bul's shoot and feel. I hope they come through.

Be careful when you need to remove the brass nut. I used locktite blue and couldn't remove it with fingers. I tried to be careful but like a gorilla I ended up crushing the softer threads of the pin.

I'm curious what Power Factor your "no popples" gun chronos with 8.1 grains of HS-6? I use HS-6 as well but with only 7.7 grains I'm getting 170 PF.

I shoot Open Major against other people who shoot Open Major. The playing field is level. My score relative to other divisions is irrelevant.

I shoot a Bullesteros as my match open gun and a UR-F as my backup. The Bullesteros has been rock solid. Both are the steel grips. I recently heard BUL is only offering polymer grips in their open guns moving forward in 2023. That’s disappointing.

I just heard a detailed radio story about the staggering amount of munitions being used in Ukraine. NATO allies are supplying so much weaponry and ammo their own stockpiles are being depleted faster than they can be replenished. Everyone in the world will be seeking the same raw materials to recreate their stockpiles. It's not likely prices are going to come down for years if at all.

I use an 8lb recoil spring no buffer on my UR-F with MG 124gr over 7.7 gr HS-6 gets me 169 PF. Very flat.

My UR-F has never cycled well with minor ammo. I've tried many different recoil springs. Runs long Major great.

I just completed my RO certification 2 months ago. It's situations like the one described why I will likely never volunteer to utilize my training as an official RO at a match. Seems ridiculous to have rules even trained officials can't interpret (via the pie chart in the link).

I love my steel grip Bullesteros and steel grip UR-F. But, if Bul has decided to go all polymer for their Open guns moving forward my next Open gun will not be a Bul Armory gun.

I love my Bullesteros. I can't speak to the warranty. I've never needed to inquire about warranty work.
